Description

Casa de Emdeko, affectionately known as the “Crown Jewel of the Kona Coast,” is an oceanfront complex located on Alii Drive – one mile south of the village of Kona and about ten miles south of the Kailua-Kona Airport (KOA).

CASA unit #133 is a one bedroom, ground floor, non-smoking unit that sleeps two. It has central A/C and ceiling fans in each room.

Enjoy the ocean view from the living room and the lanai as this condo is five condos back from the ocean.  The living room opens onto the lanai (with table and chairs) and the beautiful tropical gardens of the CASA; you are just steps from the two swimming pools, the Cabana with gas grills, tables, and chairs, and the ocean’s edge.  This unit has one of the best – and most convenient – locations in the entire complex of 100 condos! There are no stairs to climb and no waiting for the elevator. Step onto your lanai and the Pacific Ocean is right there!

The living room has a sofa, a love seat, a barrel chair and TV/entertainment center. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes microwave oven and icemaker. The bedroom has a queen-size bed, nightstands with lamps, chair, desk, and dresser.

The condo has high-speed Internet, both wireless and hard-wire – just in case you have to check in with the office or family. There are two swimming pools, one fresh water and one salt water (which is at the very edge of the Pacific Ocean!) and two sandy tanning beaches at the ocean’s edge – perfect for relaxing during the day or watching the fabulous sunsets each evening!

There are gas barbecue grills and a wonderful cabana area with tables and chairs – perfect for enjoying your dinner or a Mai Tai while watching the gorgeous Kona sunsets. Residents and guests are extremely friendly but will respect your privacy if that’s what you prefer. Palm trees, fountains, beautiful green lawns, tropical flowers and plants abound throughout the complex.

The condo has been redecorated with fresh paint throughout; tile in the living room and lanai, new tiled kitchen counters and new carpet in the bedroom. The furniture in the living area has been re-upholstered in a tropical motif. Hawaiian art lines the walls.

The CASA has a convenience store (with deli) on site as well as a self-service Laundromat. There is a well-stocked library along with board games – as well as tourist information – in the lobby. If you have any other questions about Kona or the Big Island, just ask. My wife and I never tire talking about the Islands.
