Description

Stunning beauty, peace and relaxation describe the atmosphere and character of Arawak Bay: the Inn at Salt River, this charming B&B on St. Croix’s north shore. Breathtaking views of Salt River Bay and the Caribbean Sea from each room, glimpses of St. Thomas and Tortola, island breakfasts with house specialties and relaxation by the pool and bar, affirm that you are in America’s paradise even as you stay connected via free, in-room, wireless access and satellite TV. The welcoming and gracious hospitality of hosts, Jennifer and Lionel, often earn the guests’ characterization as their “home away from home”.

Close to the Henry E Rohlsen International airport and to downtown Christiansted, to area restaurants, to popular beaches including Cane Bay, and to a variety of water sports activities, the Inn is perfectly situated for both business and vacation travel. It is a 3 minute walk from the Salt River Marina from which kayaking and boating tours can be arranged and a 10 minute drive from the Cane Bay Dive Shop which offers such marine sports as snorkeling and scuba diving. Arawak Bay partners with the Cane Bay Dive Shop to ensure that both your island diving experience and your accommodations are superb. Its proximity to the St. Croix Marina accommodates your arrival by land or by sea and provides you with easy access to Gold Coast Yachts, the premier boat-building facility in the Virgin Islands and Caribbean.

Less than 5 minutes from the Salt River National Park and the Salt River Bay,  Arawak Bay, ” it is the perfect locale ” from which to explore and experience the archaeological and marine treasures of St Croix. Enjoy the blend of sea and land with mangrove forests and coral reefs and countless species of birds, fish and sea turtles as you kayak or snorkel in the vicinity of the Salt River Bay. The National Park Visitor Center site provides insights into the rich history and culture of the US Virgin Islands.

Constructed and opened in March 2007, Arawak Bay is a 14 room Bed and Breakfast Inn that boasts all the amenities of a modern hotel. It is owned and operated by Lionel and Jennifer, a Caribbean couple whose love of the Virgin Islands and whose willingness to share the island’s treasures with you are reflected in the daily operation of the Inn.

LOVED EVERY SECOND

Believe the hype !! This place is so beautiful. Mrs. Jennifer is truly a ray of light, and her and her staff made sure all our wants and needs were met. They immediately made us feel like we were at home with family ! I never stayed somewhere and felt like I was at home before , so this place is truly special . The rooms were very nice and clean and breakfast each day was delicious! If you are visiting St. Croix , dont hesitate to call Arawak Bay and book a room , you will not be disappointed!! I honestly didnt want to leave and cant wait to come back!

Dive into Arawak

We were there with a group of 11 and this being my second time there I was elated with Jennifer and her staff as well as Cane Bay Dive Shop. You truly get a local experience with these folks. Each day after diving you felt you were headed home, with welcoming arms. Jennifers infectious smile was the first thing you see each morning. Ill be back.

What they said... Wonderful in every way

We had the privilege of recently staying at Arawak Bay: the Inn at Salt River. We were with a dive group and we can\'t say enough good things about this inn. Jennifer knows hospitality, makes sure things are \"just so\" and is a joy. Her staff is excellent, the rooms are clean and comfortable and the views are beautiful. The breakfasts were excellent and Jennifer knows the island very well - and folks know and care about her. Many people asked about her when we were out and about. All of the external updates from the hurricane damage should be completed soon. If we go back to St. Croix, we will stay here. It is located high on a hill between Christiansted and Frederiksted - fabulous views from the veranda outside the rooms. Thank you, Jennifer - it was a treat to meet you and enjoy what you\'ve created. Brava!

Beautiful, Friendly, Relaxing Bed and Breakfast Inn

Recently stayed at Arawak Bay Inn- I cannot say enough good about this place! The owner Jennifer was warm, friendly and very helpful. She was always smiling and asking if there was anything we needed or wanted. She made sure we all had breakfast to our liking and that our rooms were clean and tidy. Bed was comfortable, towels soft and clean, furniture in room clean and comfortable. They have wi-fi and a computer in the sitting room to use if needed. The dining room was large, sitting room inviting and they even had a reef fish book for reference for our divers to use. They still have a little to do since the hurricane but it was still very pleasing and relaxing.

Wonderful in every way.

This Inn is relaxed, with delicious meals, conveniently located and well maintained. I was there for a wk with my husband and 11 other scuba divers and the attention to detail was amazing! Can\'t say enough about what a great time we had. This was my second stay there and I hope to go back in the future.
