Great Resort At Ka'anapali

This is a great resort to stay at. The property is in immaculate condition, better than most 5-star hotels and resorts. It has great restaurants. It\'s close to local shops and restaurants. You\'re right next to the sand so you can paddle board or snorkel. We recommend staying here. It\'s a little pricey but worth every penny. Looking forward to returning when coming to Maui.

High density but well done

Pretty amazing how many \"villas\" (i.e., time share condo units) are here but they feel private despite the high density. The units are well appointed with big rooms. Okay - they forgot counter space when they designed the kitchen and the little store downstairs could use more inventory - but otherwise well done.

Surprisingly lovely

From the UK we had never stayed in a ‘resort’, that is owner, condo timeshare, call it what you will. Slightly apprehensive regarding the sheer size of this resort. Our flight from Seattle was delayed 6 hours, we were grumpy, expecting the worst at 11pm on the wrong side of the road in a hire car..... Super courteous staff whipped away our hire car, no valet charge as they knew we’d be late, our adjoining ‘villa’ 2 bed, absolutely stunning, immaculate, well equipped. I’d have loved a massive glass of wine but it was late so chamomile tea instead. The resort is large but not busy, plenty of room, usual sunbed politics but that’s the norm anywhere. Staff courteous, gardens immaculate, beach is lovely, great waves. Happy hour pool staff very attentive and polite, plenty of towels etc.. Any negatives, nothing that would detract from 5 star review but the buffet breakfast could’ve been more personal; perhaps an omelette/ egg station but I’m being picky.

Great Family Place

We have been going to maui for years before kids and after kids. We usually stay at the Alii in a condo but that is getting crazy expensive. Booked a 1 bed off VRBO with an agency they use. Kids (10 & 7) slept on the pull out couch. Plenty of room for all of us, kitchen was very nice, staff was great. Classes we took with the kids some free some small price for materials were great. Lei making, Ukulele lessons and soap making were all a lot of fun. Like I said we are avid visitors and usually spend a min. 10 days. So we do not eat out a ton. We always stop at Costco and hit up the grocery store. Great to be able to whip of some breakfast. Come back and lunch for a sandwich. That way when you have days you are out exploring and not at the pool those are the days you eat out. It does make a huge difference in the budget when you are eating in the room as often as you can.
