Description

Unit # 3, 4 & 5 are on the second floor.  Unit #8 is on the third floor.  All of these units are identical and have a living room, kitchenette and a covered veranda with a spectacular view of the ocean! We have four star resort towels, linens, quiet AC and mattress that guests rave about...cool, quiet comfort! Restaurants are a 2 minute walk or 10 minutes to downtown. Relax in the pool or have some cocktails at the bar. Most resorts need a golf cart to get around; optional here! Ocean view, beach front & walk downtown "location, location, location" this is The Palapa House!
 
The space
Quiet central air conditioning units in lieu of noisy mini-splits or hotel AC units. Quiet comfort on the beach is our motto at The Palapa House! The bathroom has a modern walk in shower and "cool" barn doors for the bathroom and closet. All mattresses, linens and towels meet North American Four Star Resort standards far superior to what is typically found on the island. There is nothing like this level of quality furnishings in San Pedro for this price!
 
Relax in the small resort style pool or hang out at the palapa bar and enjoy the ocean view with a cup of coffee in the morning and cocktail at night.
 
Modern design with kitchenette with small refrigerator with separate freezer door, custom cabinets, trendy barn door for bathroom and closet, local Belize art work mixed with beach decor and the best hide a bed available with 8.5 inch mattress! Everyone raves about how comfortable the bed is! The hide a bed is amazingly comfortable as well and we have raving reviews on the comfort of the hide a bed. Not sure you will ever see that any where else.
 
Guests have full access to the pool, bar and of course the Caribbean Ocean. The resort provides beach chairs, corn hole, bocci ball, Frisbee game, giant jenga and more to enjoy while at the resort.
 
Shane or Stacy will meet you and can answer any questions that you may have. There have suggestions on our favorite restaurants, tours and activities that they can book for you as well.
 
Great food and nightlife a few doors down on the beach with great food at the Sand Bar, Melt and Palapa Bar. A grocery store is one block off the beach. You can walk along the beach to down town San Pedro. Chuck and Robbie's dive shop is right out the front door providing the most amazing dive and snorkeling trip ever. They also offer fishing trips and paddle boards. Can you say location, location, location?
 
You do not need to rent a cart with this amazing location. You can take a very short taxi ride to the resort stopping at the store to pick up water, ice and other essentials. It is a beautiful easy walk to down town San Pedro.
 
If you decide to rent a golf cart (and most people do), we recommend ATM Golf Cart Rental since they have the newest carts and best service! They will have the cart waiting for you at the airport and/or will have an extra cart to get your luggage to the resort. Four people per cart is best. Do not miss the sunrise! To watch the sunset we recommend driving to “Rain” the resteraunt or taking a sunset cruise with our friends Junior and James. They are an entertaining duo with great rum drinks and of course Belikin beer.

Shane will meet you and can answer any questions that you may have. He has suggestions on his favorite restaurants, tours and activities that he can book for you as well. We also provide a long list of great restaurants, bars, activities, etc. There is plenty to do so just pick something and have an amazing day and night on the island.

We have had several reviews that mention the view from The Palapa House third floor for the sunset as well. It can be very impressive. However, the sunrise is totally amazing since it is right over the water.

The Palapa House was great.


The Palapa House was great. Josie checked us in, and she was wonderful. She was cheerful, sweet, and quick to get us completely set up for our stay. We looked at about 6 locations in San Pedro, and finally settled on The Palapa House. I honestly think this location is the best in San Pedro. It has the nicest beach access, its right next to some great, more relaxed bars, and a bit longer walk from the more wild bars near Central Park (so you don\'t have the noise). It also just steps away from Chuck & Robbies dive shop. So we walked over and booked a snorkeling trip as well! Cannot recommend this place enough.

I loved The Palapa House


The Palapa House was adorable - the nicest spot on the strip to stay for its value - the bed was amazingly comfortable which is a must for me. The air conditioning worked very well and kept everything nice and cool. I enjoyed having ceiling fans in each room since I like air circulation. The entire place was tastefully decorated and very clean and fresh. There is a nice small kitchen with a coffee maker, toaster and fridge. I loved having a balcony looking out to the ocean where I could chill everyday. I also loved dipping in the pool after I returned everyday from scuba diving. Directly across the sand is Chuck & Robbies dive shop which was awesome since I was here to dive mainly and it was so convenient. The location of The Palapa House with all of its amenities - hands down is the nicest, newest and most comfortable place to stay for its value. I will be back. Thanks Ron for everything. I loved Belize.

Perfect location


The Palapa house was great. Perfect location right on the beach. Plenty of room for 3-4 inside, with all new furniture and appliances. Great outdoor amenities with the pool, the bar, cornhole, etc. Would definitely stay here again.

LOCATION!!! This place was perfect


LOCATION!!! This place was perfect, it was centrally located for everything we wanted to do. Within walking distance of shops, stores, many local restaurants and the water taxi. Right across the street from the best dive shop I\'ve done business with. It was extremely clean, everyone I dealt with was kind and helpful. Linens and towels were fresh and well stocked. Internet was reliable. Perfect for us. There is a local school on the next block and the path in front of the house is well traveled which wasn\'t an issue but keep in mind its not quiet like a resort can be or dark at night.

As advertised. Excellent instantaneous responses. Location is central, but it is difficult to walk around the town. No sidewalks, dangerous and dusty walking. Being central is a (Website hidden by Airbnb) sure that you understand that there is no usable swimming beach and almost no way to swim in the ocean in front of the condo. Not for beach lovers. Superb for those using boats to snorkel and tour
