Beautiful Bonefish Bay

My team had an enjoyable time at Bonefish Bay. The home is well-kept, modern and simply beautiful. The views are breath taking and anything you need is readily available. Michele Johnson was a lovely host who went out of her way to ensure we had a fantastic time. I would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful House, Great Location

Eight of us, including our two-year old granddaughter stayed at Bonefish Bay for eight days in early February, and we could not have picked a better spot. The house is amazing, well laid out and beautifully furnished.with unusual, pieces which the owner has collected. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook almost all our meals there, including every spice you could imagine, and there were ample supplies of beach towels, kids toys, and sunscreen and insect repellent. The beach is lovely, although it was littered with detritus when we first arrived. But the owner’s son Chris sent people over right away to clean it up. The snorkeling was pretty good, and it was wonderful to get up in the morning, put on your mask and snorkel, and see what there was to see. We enjoyed the paddle boards and kayaks, as well, even taking them to the little island in the bay. We debated whether we needed a swimming pool, with our own beach, but finally decided to go for it. And we are glad we did. The two-year old would have spent every waking minute in the pool if we had let her. But she also enjoyed exploring the beautifully landscaped grounds, looking for lizards, of which there were many. We made a trip to the grocery store in Rock Sound, after buying some necessities in Governors Harbor, because we cooked almost all our meals at the house. The grill was not new, but functional, and on the first couple of nights, there was enough breeze that the bugs were was wonderful to eat outside and then lounge by the pool, looking at the stars. After that, the breezes died down, and the bugs drove us inside. We are also glad we opted for the “Caribbean” side of the island. We never had rough water in our little bay, and on our two trips to Twin Cove and French Leave beaches found, that although both beaches were beautiful, the rough water interfered with snorkeling.
