New for 2016! Modern 1 Bedroom/Studio includes private entrance with kitchenette, gorgeous completely renovated bathroom, open beam ceiling, private porch and outdoor shower with awesome sunsets. The huge fenced yard with a fire pit is shared with the main house. Includes air conditioning, which is a rare treat for this area. Pets welcome - ruff.
 
Calendar and pictures are always up to date.
 
The space
This wonderful quaint beach cottage has been completely remodeled (finished in early 2016) with open beam ceilings, new kitchenette and beautifully tiled bathroom. Private entrance and private patio with a large fenced shared back yard. The bedroom has a queen bed, (air mattress can be added for 3rd person) flat screen TV. The house has excellent freeway access, the grocery store is less than a tenth of a mile away and the beach and downtown are just a 1/2 mile walk with sidewalks. Dedicated resident permit parking is on the street. Please be sure to leave the permit when you leave. We provide beach chairs, coolers, umbrellas, boogie boards, beach toys and a wagon to haul it to the beach.
 
Come stay with us - we are sure you won't want to leave.
 
Guest access
Enjoy your private entrance, private patio, private outdoor shower and the studio complete with kitchenette and bathroom. The laundry is shared and is accessible from the main house and from the guest quarters. The back yard and fire pit are shared with the main house.
 
Interaction with guests
Brenda, mother of 4 kids (within 5 years) and engineer by degree, is wildly detail oriented and loves to share the coastal San Diego area with all guests, especially young families creating their beach memories.
Our family has lived in Solana Beach since 1993. Our family thoroughly enjoys sharing everything this area has to offer from the beaches, surfing, body surfing, mountain biking, trail running, hiking, shops to the restaurants.
 
We live just a few miles south if you need anything, otherwise I leave you to enjoy yourselves.

Great House


Brenda has really maximized the space in the studio portion of this property. Very comfortable for two people with great shared backyard. Brenda\'s place is very pet friendly and our 4 month old Vizsla puppy had a great time. Really excellent location with a nice walk down the hill to hip little beach town ( Encinitas). Thanks for a great stay Brenda! I can recommend this property for sure.

This place is a gem


Brenda is a terrific Host, the best communication and attention to details. For a small place it had amazing amenities and we really enjoyed the back yard and the sunsets. A terrific value and comfortable bed, large shower, and good light. The attention to details, like reading lights by the bed, plugs to recharge all your devices that are convenient, my husband and I and our dog Hazel loved it!

Lovely, charming space true to the pictures. Brenda is extremely prompt with responses as well and we always appreciate the extra special touches like the personal card and automatic porch lights. Yard is great for “paw families” like ours.

Brenda\'s place was perfect for our visit - clean, comfortable, and walkable to all the restaurants, beaches, and coffee shops in Encinitas! I\'d definitely stay there again. Brenda was very responsive and was kind enough to let us stay late when we had a red eye. A great place!
