Description

Suitability:  Sleeps up to 7 in bedrooms and on sofas.  No smoking in the house. Children welcome. Pets welcome. Please note that the condo entrance is up two short flights of stairs, with no elevator. Not wheelchair accessible. No loud parties or fireworks!       
 
Minimum stay length is seven days.     
Floor area: 2,900 square feet, about 300 sq meters     
 
Location: Partial ocean view, at the edge of downtown, ¾ mile (1.3 km) or 16 minute walk from the main square, ¾ mile  (1.2 km) or 15 minute walk from beach      
 
General: The lower level has an open floor plan living area, including a dining area and kitchen with breakfast bar. The two smaller bedrooms are located on the lower level, along with the entry area, utility room, a small terrace and a full bath.  
 
The upper level has a large master bedroom with en-suite bath and a large shaded rooftop terrace.  
 
The gourmet kitchen has granite and good stainless appliances An under-counter water filter is located by the sink, so you don’t need to haul heavy water bottles.. The kitchen is well equipped with a coffee maker, blender, microwave, cooking equipment, cutlery, pantry items, etc. 
 
A washer and dryer stack are located in a utility room with iron and board on the lower floor.         
Free wifi and Dish cable.      
Air conditioning wall units are located in the living areas and in all three bedrooms.      
Linens and towels provided.      
Hair dryer. Iron and board.       
Master bedroom: King sized bed with en suite bathroom, generous closet space.      
Bedroom 2: Queen sized bed with ample closet space, bathroom across hall.     
Bedroom 3: Twin  beds with ample closet space. The living room has one large sofas suitable for sleeping. Ample extra bedding is provided.      
Please note all bathrooms have showers, not tubs.       
Barbecue: Good propane grill located on the rooftop deck.     
Rooftop Patio: Large table with seating for about 6. Woven shade roof. Wicker easy chairs.  
 
Swimming pool: There are 3 swimming pools in the complex and ample lounge beds for a siesta… one is adjacent to the building.     
 
Parking: Two outdoor off-street spots. Adjacent  street parking is amply available outside the gated community.    
 
Security: The house is in a gated community with 24 hour patrols. The community is located in a safe area of town.       Approach: Easy approach along the 1D Los Cabos Toll Road from the airport or from Cabo San Lucas to the San Jose del Cabo exit. Explicit driving instructions and maps are sent to all guests.      
 
Shopping: A WalMart  store with large grocery section located within a 15  minutes walk or 4 minute drive. A larger Comer Supermarket is located about 1 mile (1.7km)  from the house. Soriana,  Chedraui and other big chains are in nearby suburbs, about 10-15 minutes drive away.  Lots of other chains and local markets are in the area. You will find that most grocery prices are much lower than in the US.      Nightlife: San Jose del Cabo has a wide variety of world class restaurants. Since Baja California is the home of the Fish Taco, here are lots and lots of taco stands, which offer inexpensive street food: San Jose del Cabo  also has nightspots, mostly around the old town or in the fancy resorts along the beach. Suggestions on restaurants and other activities are in our guest book reference guide in the house foyer.      
 
What to do: Besides lounging on the beach or patio, it’s easy to fill a week with various activities in the area. Ziplining, swimming, canyoning, whale and whale shark watching, hiking, mountain climbing, to name a few. There are numerous excursion companies on the main square in town.     
 
Interesting excursions would include a trip to Cabo San Lucas, a day trip to see the “Hotel California” and artist colony at Todos Santos, and  a longer day trip to La Paz. For the avid deep sea fisherman, Los Cabos has many fishing charter opportunities as well.

Payment may be made by bank transfer, check or PayPal. Detailed payment instructions are sent to all guests upon booking. Bookings made within 60 days of arrival are to be paid in full upon billing. Bookings made more than 60 days before arrival pay half the rental amount upon billing, the balance is due 30 days before arrival.
 
If a guest cancels the reservation more than 60 days before arrival, a refund of 100% is given. If a guest cancels the reservation more than 30 days before arrival, a refund of 50% is given. No refunds if cancellation is within 30 days of arrival.

A one-time cleaning fee of $50 will be charged.

Great place, great location!


Thanks Ted, for a wonderful stay! The penthouse was just perfect for our needs, and I especially enjoyed the nice kitchen and the rooftop grilling. We loved the charming old center, and the kids really enjoyed the beach nearby.
