My family of 5 (children late teens/early 20s) had a fabulous Christmas and New Years stay at Mandoo. The house is exactly as you see in the photos. It might not be fancy, but it more than compensates with comfort, space and the most incredible location. The house is perfectly situated on the saddle of a peninsula with ocean views in both directions. The grounds are extensive so you feel unconstrained and relaxed. Rooms were spacious and had great views. Love the outdoor shower too. Kitchen is functional but if you are a Julia Childs you would be feeling constrained. Beds were comfortable. We did rent a car through Guys (they dropped it at the house) as we wanted the freedom to explore, but used Owen\'s taxi service to get to and from the airport (which was a good decision). Activities that we can highly recommend include: Jus Sail: private 1/2 day sailing on beautifully restored Carriacou Sloop Exodus: private motor boat charter for 1/2 day to take us down to Pitons Zip Lining: If you haven\'t done before, it\'s a great setting. Try to avoid the cruise ship crowd. Aquaholics Kite Surfing in Cas em Bas - what a rush, and fantastic setting Cas em Bas hiking with most stunning ocean views and secluded beaches Visit to Marigold bay Visit to Anse Couchon for snorkeling and/or scuba We also used Windjammer for beaching and walked down the cove from there to East Winds Inn beach as its more secluded. Weather was fantastic. Went to a lot of different restaurants and was impressed with quality of food for the Carribean. Mary Anne and Anthony were very helpful and unobtrusive. All in it was a great vacation. We feel extremely lucky that the Morgans have made their house available. It is quite the spot.

Perfect family hideaway

Well, we are back in Canada and wanted to sincerely thank you, your wife and the dynamic duo of Marie-Anne and Anthony for a memorable and fantastic vacation on behalf of our family, my sister’s family and my mother. We thoroughly enjoyed St. Lucia and your paradise hideaway allowed us to experience everything we had hoped. The pool kept the boys busy for hours at a time while the snorkeling off your property was a pleasant break from lazing around your pristine gardens. It didn\'t hurt that we had a choice of several beaches just walking distance from your home and the grocery stores were just minutes away by car. We toured the area and enjoyed every bit of it. The memories we will keep from this lovely island and your beautiful home will remain with us for many years to come. Hope to make it out there again one day soon!

Amazing location

Our two families (4 adults 4 children) had the best holiday ever at Villa Mandoo. It was going to be a special trip because our husbands were crossing the Atlantic to Rodney Bay from Gran Canaria in the ARC 2014 sailing rally, but it turned out to be the so much more; a holiday of a lifetime that we will all remember forever! We spent 3 weeks over christmas and new year at the villa; enjoying big family meals on the covered terrace with beautiful views of the sea on both sides, a constant cooling breeze, lovely big garden with fruit trees, the long pool which the children (ages 10-16) and adults alike were constantly in, the snorkelling at the bottom of the garden was fab; I saw Lion fish, Puffer fish, octopus, lobster and many other beautiful tropical fish. We couldn\'t believe at luck at finding such a fantastic place. Our friend\'s boat was able to anchor in Cuti cove as well, so we all swam out to it to many times, and were able to watch the local fishermen do their thing. It\'s very private apart from the odd visiting boat from windjammer to go snorkelling. We all loved just hanging out at the villa playing games, eating, swimming in the pool and the sea, watching the sunsets. The outside showers were great, especially at sunset. All bedrooms have their own bathroom and the beds are very comfy and big too, and the wi-fi was handy for the teenagers! Marie Ann and Anthony were helpful and it was great to have someone to do some chores. On christmas day about 20 of us had a BBQ lunch on the terrace, so you can see it is a great place for entertaining; spacious with enough tables, chairs for everyone! On New Years Eve we were able to see the fireworks from the Windjammer resort as well as the ones in Rodney Bay.

Great Getaway

My wife and I travel with three other couples on our annual winter vacation. We try to visit a new area each year. This Year we selected St Lucia, and we found this little piece of Paradise. We\'ve stayed in villas that have ranged in price from $3,000 per week up to $10,000 per week. While this place was on the lower end of our usual rental we were pleasantly surprised how well kept this house was. Yes it is an older villa, but everything was clean, functional and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The internet worked flawlessly we had cable TV although it was hardly used and a fantastic breeze all the time. This house has one of the largest pools we\'ve seen in the villa market. 50 feet long and overlooking the ocean. The grounds are beautufly manicured, Our housekeeper was amazing, she even requested that we leave any dishes from the evening for her to wash them in the morning. She will do your laundry if you need and even prepare a meal if requested. It is somewhat difficult to find Villa\'s with 4 bedrooms and 4 baths so we were thrilled to find this place at what we considered to be a great price. We were not disappointed.

Our recent stay at Villa Mandoo

Our family recently stayed at this property and it was most excellent. The house sits on 3 acres facing southwest into the ocean, with continual beautiful views. Often, you get breezes from the north side of the island, as the house catches some of those breezes as well. The facility is clean and neat, and the housekeeper Marie Ann is perfect. She helps you with local directions and attractions, and will also cook lunches, and pre-made dinners as well. And, of course, she will do laundry. The pool is very nice and has the infinity feature...look out into the ocean with your glass of wine. Also, there is a path down to the ocean, where you can snorkle easily, with lots of coral and fish to see. Finally, there is a garden on site, so you can go to market and buy a fresh fish one afternoon, cut fresh vegetables from the garden, and enjoy a great local meal. We were thoroughly pleased and would highly recommend this vacation spot!!
