Description

You never know when you will make a memory, but memories are sure to be made in this comfortable cottage. Perfect for small families or couples who want an intimate, convenient beach vacation-come and go from the beach without driving, worrying about parking, or walking very far. Feel the fresh trade winds on the veranda of this newly renovated second row beach bungalow with magnificent ocean views from screened porch and living room, bedroom and kitchen. Only 50 feet from beach access. Uniquely decorated throughout to give you that special Folly feeling.

Welcome to Folly! We have tried to make it fun and friendly, like we remember the beach growing up, but for convenience we have included wi-Fi internet access, flat screen TV with full cable access and DVD player, all appliances including washer/dryer, and a fully equipped kitchen.

This three bedroom central air and heat home offers two bedrooms with a queen bed, and the third bedroom designed with children in mind has a trundle bed which can either be used as two twin beds or one queen bed.

Bring your boat--plenty of off street parking, and the county maintained boat landing is minutes away. With luck you will have fish to grill for supper--either from the creeks or from surf fishing.

Feel like a native--when you come from the beach, take a shower underneath the house in the outdoor shower--out of view but still outdoors.

Take time to make a memory that you can remember with a smile. Folly can be a great experience for everyone.

Folly Beach is convenient to everything you need: This home is only six blocks from downtown Folly with shopping and dining, and a short drive to historic downtown Charleston for those day trips, or evenings to enjoy the Charleston scene. Where you will always find many great restaurants and bars.

I worked hard to give it that "Old Folly Beach" feel but make it comfortable.

The address is 604 West Ashley. I consider it one of the last "real beaches it has only one stop light"! My home is a great second row location!

You can catch views of the ocean from certain locations on the screened in front porch. If this is your first trip to Folly Beach you are in for a real treat.

There is a certain vibe that Folly gives to all in hopes of appreciating a simpler life style.

First thing to know is that there is NO crankiness, BAD moods or COMPLAINTS allowed at this home. These MUST be left at HOME!

My home is 6 blocks from downtown Folly. Close enough to walk but far enough away that you don't get the noise. Everyone on Folly walks it seems the easiest way to get around. You are close enough to drive into Charleston

and yet feel secluded.

My home is a second row beach house about 50 feet from the cross-over with a screened front porch. This is NOT a new home, it is not newly constructed or outfitted with the amenities of the more expensive homes that you will see along the way. This house is designed for the Folly Beach that those who lived here and visited years ago fell in love with.

The screen door slamming as you went in and out, the roar of the waves, and the ole wicker that grandad would not throw away not matter how tattered it appeared to newcomers.

This is the side the Folly Beach County Park is located. Everyone seems to think the best part of the house is the screened porch where you catch views of the ocean from the pub table and chairs and hear the roar of the waves and the smell of salt air. There is the always "old tattered wicker" chairs that have seen more storms and winds than most humans will ever know. To have miss-matched porch furniture is essential for the real feel of Folly. Folly is the come as you are beach, no matter how tattered or torn...your are all ok on Folly.

The house has a large yard which accommodates a great parking area. Parking can become an issue since Folly is so small. You don't have to worry about parking on the side of the street/ so no concern of parking tickets or unexpected dents. It is amazing how many side mirrors are suddenly gone.

This is a small home, when our family stayed at Folly Beach we knew it was time together which made the bungalow size insignificant. It is 3 bedroom with central air and heat. The living room has a flat screen tv with cable and a dvd player. The home accommodates guests with wifi. Everyone raves about the chaise lounge and the comfortable couch in the living room. There have been many naps taken on both after a day on the beach. These are luxuries we are proud of! But we do recommend you turn your cell phone OFF.

The kitchen has everything I could possibly think that a kitchen would need. Microwave, stove, toaster, blender, plenty of cooking utensils. A large variety of assorted dishes. There is a pub size table with 4 chairs

in the kitchen to help with the view to the ocean. I have a stacked washer/dryer for convenience. There are tv tray tables to help with those who don't accommodate a pub style table. When my family was at Folly we always had to have 3 selections of cookies: Oreos, Nutter Butter Peanut Butter, and vanilla wafers. These are essential to a beach stay.

Two bedrooms have queen beds and the third bedroom ( is a small bedroom) has a pop up trundle bed that can be two twins or one queen size bed. This is a small bedroom and was designed with children in mind. I want

to stress for adults this is a "small bedroom". I also have some books and games available for children.

There is one full bath (commode, sink, shower and tub) inside the house. There is a hot/cold shower under the house for washing off from the beach. I have an enclosed bathroom next to the rustic shower under the house. This bathroom under the home, next to the shower has a commode and a sink. There are also chairs in this bathroom to accommodate changing little ones into and out of swim wear. This area is extremely convenient (especially when kids (age 3/ 90 ) decide they have to go to the bathroom

as soon as they get sandy at the beach!

You will find beach chairs and a clothes line under the house for your convenience.

There is a charcoal grill with utensils and a table for grilling. Since it is under the house the table will have sand on it.... feel free to clean it off!

I do furnish pillows, linens, and bath towels no beach towels and no golf cart or bicycles. These are available for rent in downtown Folly Beach. If you take a minute to **please** read the reviews it may help you with more information about the house.

Arrival time is at 3:00 pm or later and leaving @10:00 am.
*I have a no smoking inside the home and no pets allowed*. My age limit is 25 years of age unless accompanied by a parent or a guardian.
I know there is no age requirement for maturity but I don't rent to vacationing college students because of lessons learned in the past. Please let me know if you have any question.
If you fit in the category of wanting the feel of real Folly I welcome you as a guest in my home. There are much nicer extravagant accommodations along the way but none more authentic and enjoyable.
Lore has it that the sea renews our strength and heals our sorrows so that we can face tomorrow...waiting on you!

Wonderful beach house!

This was the perfect house for a fun girls weekend. Kay is so great and truly makes your stay at the Home amazing. It is really close to the beach and to downtown folly. My friends and I will definitely visit again!

Great location

We traveled down with 2 of our grandsons to see James Island county park holiday light show. Decided to look for a house in Folly Beach . Kids could enjoy playing on beach before visiting park at night. The bungalow fit our needs. The kids loved the screen porch and they tried out different bedrooms while we were there for a long weekend. House was very close to beach access. We played a few board games in porch. Kitchen seemed well equipped . We didn\'t really do cooking since I wanted to go to Taco Boy and Lost dog Cafe. Loved the separate coffee station. Hope to come back down with our other grandson once he gets a little older to see light show.

Very comfortable and clean

This house was perfect for my family which included married daughters. We could walk to the beach and town. Porch was great for reading and conversation. House very clean and had all the amenities. We loved it and think it truly showed us the Folly Beach we wanted to experience. Sharon Ellis

Quaint and really awesome!

Loved the place! Sitting on the front porch (which is screened in) you can see the ocean and hear the waves crashing on the beach. We were going to be here the week that Irma came to visit, but had to reschedule. Other than the city trucks running up and down the road in the mornings, it is mostly quiet at the end of September, but still warm enough to sit on the beach and enjoy it without the beach being over crowded. Kay the owner is a pleasure to deal with. She is friendly and quick to respond when you have a question or concern. The house isn\'t a new house, but it is well maintained. It looked as though it was renovated not too long ago. She had just put new mattresses on the beds the week before we arrived. Bed sheets, towels and washcloths were there, but no beach towels because of past experiences of hers that people would steal them. We have rented before from places that we would need to bring all our linens, so it was a bonus that we didn\'t have to bring any. Too bad there are the kind of people out there that have that \"I paid for it so it\'s mine\" kind of thinking and take what doesn\'t belong to them to ruin it for people that have common sense about them.

The property is family friendly & close to beach!

By far, the personal touch and family orientated owner, Kay, absolutely made this vacation experience wonderful. We felt valued as customers. especially so, since we are a military family with a veteran onboard. As a large family, vacation comes only one week a year, so we appreciate an owner who is willing to accommodate a family in the most economical way. We enjoyed the lovely neat home, having everything we needed, even an air purifier for our son\'s asthma. After a very long drive, the check in was a snap and minutes later we were on the beach. The beach is but a few steps away and the walk path is directly in front of the home. We enjoyed cooking our meals and eating on the wonderful screened in porch. Internet access was easy to obtain and our children were able to check into the needs of their online school. The smaller children said the living room was their favorite spot of the home. The rooms were perfect for the teenagers and tweens. Vacation is important to our family because this gives us an opportunity to be with one another and grow stronger. The owner Kay saw to it that all of our needs were met outside of the normal impersonal robot correspondence...even while her husband had suffered an injury. We are very thankful we found this home and consider ourselves Blessed to have found Kay. Our stay here was perfect for our family and the very beautiful beach was medicine for the year!
