Description

This very large house (3500 sqm) will accommodate large parties of visitors. Has a feel of out doors, as it is set in the middle of 20 acres of scenic views, yet with short distance to the down town areas. Recently retired healthcare professionals / masseuse, (children grown) want others to experience the joy of Taos live while he is away for co-ownership in other places. Do you need a get away from Albuquerque or any other crowded metropolis? Just pack a small bag of clothes and get ready to share my home away from home in the magical land of enchantment. Santa Fe has nothing on Taos (with the exception of audience.) A 900 year old pueblo and museums that leave their story on the Santa Fe Trail. This part of the southwest is much older than the rest of the United States. Kit Carson is buried in our local cemetery. A 650 foot bridge spans the Rio Grande River leaving you with views similar to the Grande Canyon. Had the best snow in Southern Rockies last season.

Keyword: Large Hacienda, garnished w / cedar and other woods, vigas, isolated but close to town, hiking, galleries, fully equipped kitchen with space for 12 comfortable, spacious rooms, value but sumptuous.

Guest Reviews

Spacious and lovely adobe home near Taos.

The house is an authentic adobe and has beautiful viga ceilings. The fully equipped kitchen is conveniently located and the very long custom made dinning table makes eating and visiting comfortable. The four bed rooms are comfortable and private. Comfortable is the key description of the home. The views of from either covered porch are breathtaking. I took beautiful pictures of the sun rising over the mountains. The owner responded immediately to questions and quickly resolved any issues. I would love to stay there again.

Big and spacious, enough room for everyone

If you\'re looking for a house rental that\'s close to everything, this is the place. Plenty of room for everyone, has WIFI, a hot tub and cable TV. Owner still lives at the house but we didn\'t mind the stuff that were still there.

Great for big family gatherings

Host was very gracious and informative. He called multiple times to inform us when available and updates. We had a wonderful time. Everything you could imagine is there at the house. Just bring food and your clothes!

perfect for our extended family

This is a large home that had enough room for all 7 of us plus our dog. In addition to the four bedrooms, the kitchen and living room are large gathering spaces, brightened by skylights. The home is comfortable and you can tell the owner lives there when he\'s not renting it out, but that didn\'t bother us at all--on the contrary, he left helpful notes about any potentially confusing aspects of life in his home (how to open the damper in the chimney, where to find extra blankets, etc.), and invited us to call if we needed more information. We recommend staying here if you have a large group and want a roomy, comfortable space. An additional plus is that the kitchen has everything you need to cook for your group.

Ski Sipapu- 4 families/friends

This was a wonderful house with a gorgeous view of the mountains. It was spacious enough to allow four families to fit comfortably, come together as a group, and sleep in private quarters. The open kitchen dining area was conducive to our large group as well. Skylights, fireplace, wood burning stove, abundance of wood, cookware/spices, large yard, long covered porch, and jacuzzi were much enjoyed ammenities. It is clean with plenty of towels provided. This is not an empty rental, owners belongings and personal effects were around, so it felt more like we were staying with a relative. The owner was very helpful with our stay. It is very close to Taos and just ~30 min drive to the Sipapu Ski Resort. We would love to stay here again.
