“Family Vacation to wrap up summer”

This has been my second time at the property this summer. I originally attended for a wedding in June and just recently stayed for a second time for a family get away. This place is amazing! From the location, to the amazing property, to the owners Dave and Penny. We have stayed at both available rentals and they are both great. No need to worry about a thing. Appliances, all kitchen tools, games, books, DVD\'s blankets and bedding, night lights and fire wood. These cabins come stocked!! Both rentals are huge and allow for everyone to have their own space. No issues with bathrooms, showers or water. The beach and dock area are also perfect, allowing for paddle boats, canoe, swimming and pontoons. They are also pet friendly! This is a very special place where amazing memories are made! I can not wait to visit again! I will be recommending this place without a doubt!

“Another Perfect Stay at Canonto!!!!!”

Another amazing experience at Canonto lodge! We just recently returned from our second stay at Canonto lodge. Our second experience was even better than our first, simply due to the fact that we have gotten to know the owners a bit better and they are just incredible people. During this visit we stayed in the ‘lodge’ and it has everything that you could want or need while vacationing away from home. The lodge had more than enough room to sleep the ten people we were with. Also, I thought having ten people might make the accommodations seem a little crapped, however you never felt like you were in anyone’s way. The beds were very comfortable, kitchen appliances worked well and couches were also comfortable. We ate most of our meals on the deck and the view you get while sitting out there is simply breathtaking. Swimming at the beach area was great and also the fishing was really good as well. There was a fire ban on at the time we were there, however it didn’t bother us. Also, the wildlife is amazing, so if you are heading up make sure to take your binoculars.

“Perfect Get Away”

The Lodge Cottage is a the perfect place to get away with friends and family. The amenities are numerous, and allow you to get back to nature without completely losing touch with the world. There is enough space for a large group so that you can have your own rooms with clean and comfortable common rooms for spending time together. The lake offers world class fishing that provides every opportunity from the beginner catching her fist fish to the expert catching hundreds of LM bass, SM bass, Pike, walleye, perch, rock bass, and more. Your hosts, Mr. and Mrs. Hill, will make sure that you have everything you need to enjoy your visit.

“A beautiful piece of heaven”

Plenty of room for all to stay with bedrooms well equipped kitchen . Upstairs bathroom would meet a large group needs as ther were only 2 bathrooms and only one shower . Privacy on the property and the owners were available if anything was required

“the setting is perfect, the lodge is spacious, spotless and very well maintained.”

My cousin, brother and I have been traveling to Norcan lake for 40 years. Obviously (to those of you familiar with Norcan) we roughed it for most of those years. We stopped roughing it when we began staying at Canonto in 2002. Since then,we have stayed in all the cottages except the Hill Top. All the facilities are first rate for a group of serious fishermen and women or a family just looking for a great spot on a gorgeous lake, or both. The added benefit is the Hill family who are caring, friendly and responsive to all our needs. All their equipment is well maintained, including their boats and motors, if you need to rent. Go, you will have a wonderful time and great fishing.

“A relaxing and calming stay”

If you\'re looking to escape reality and city-life while among family and friends. This is the place for you! We stayed for four days, and it was absolutely amazing. The views were serene, the lodge comfy and cozy. Everything was supplied in the kitchen, the bed were comfortable and the showers clean. The owners, Dave & Penny were so extremely nice, like we\'ve known them forever! They were always willing to help and provided us with excellent conversation. The stories that Dave shared are some that I will never forget. It\'s a lovely place to visit, and to I hope to return again, and again, and again! Be sure to pack enough food and toiletries as you are far from any major (and small) town/city. Which is fantastic! At night, no noise, complete darkness. Just the gentle waves hitting shore. In the early morning, watching the sunrise and listening to the loons is sure not to be missed.

“Absoutely a fine getaway for the family & fellows”

We have rented the lodge for 5 consecutive years during the 3rd week of May. We are mostly retired & active Pa. State Troopers with teenage boys. We basically come up for fishing and just escaping reality. After a week of stay we find it hard to leave. I would definitely bring the wife and daughter to the lodge but this is the boys vacation -- August I take the wife and daughter south to the beach. Norcan lake is the place to bring your kids and catch hundreds of fish - you actually get tired of catching fish !!!!!!! Campfires, horse shoes, corn hole, having a fine cigar and a cold drink, telling lies with your buddies- doesn\'t get any better than this. The natives and locals are good folk - kind and warm environment. Beautiful rustic lodge for a large group - everything you need for a week of freedom !!!!!!!!

“wonderful place,”

We have been going there for five or more years and just love it. Dave is very accomadating and keeps everthing nice.
