CONTACT OWNER

We love Kalispell, Montana because it is a great community in which to live, work and play. Known as the last best place, this area of the Flathead Valley offers phenomenal recreational opportunities all year round. And since we favor the countryside, but still like the idea of a neighborhood, we opted to build our vacation home in this Ponderosa grove, where bird-watching comes readily. One year, we even had robins nesting in a hanging basket on the front porch!

Facts About Destination

Our neighborhood is a quiet, family oriented community in rural Montana.

The Flathead Valley is a glacial valley that terminates in Flathead Lake, one of the largest freshwater lakes on the western side of the Rocky Mountains.

Precautions

Don't feed the wildlife. Be careful with fires in grassy areas and in the woods. Supervise children by waterfronts and in the wilderness. And don't drink and drive. Our roads are hazardous in winter, so make sure you are equipped to drive on snow and ice and dress in layers, with a warm coat, hat, gloves and winter boots. Most of all have fun!

Lifestyle

We say "yep" a lot around here. We talk slow too. And we wave when we pass folks in the car. And sometimes we just have to ask where you've come from and how long you've been here. That's because most Montanans have come from somewhere else, but we earn one another's respect when we can say we've been here the longest!

Best time to visit

You can count on gorgeous summers, cool fall weather, great winter snow, and a short but always inspiring spring.

We Loved Bird Watchers Haven

When arriving at Bird Watchers Haven, we were greeted with a beautiful and welcoming front yard and a comfortable front porch with a rocker. Inside we were met with a vase of flowers that were a promise of the lush back yard. The house was immaculate, neat and roomy. There was an office space where one could work (if possible in such a lovely setting) and in the kitchen was everything a gourmet cook could want. Numerous books were there as were games, maps and information on area attractions. The hosts have thought of everything!!! We did not get to bird watch or enjoy the inviting back yard as much as we would have liked because of the many activities in the area. We spent one day at Big Mountain, one day at Glacier NP, one day at Columbia Flats amusement type activities. Next time, we want to sit around the peaceful pond/waterfall, watch the birds and read. I would definetly recommond this wonderful property because of it's beauty, peacefulness, and the friendly hosts. Diana and Mike have done a wonderful job. P.S. The photos do not do the property justice.

We will be back

The owners did a fantastic job making this our home away from home. The house is nicely decorated and very comfortable. The back yard with the pond and water feature was beautiful. The neighbor hood is very quiet. When we visit Glacier again we will be back. Thank you Diana and Mike :)
