This is a family friendly town with lots to do in the area. Outdoor activities like swimming, biking, art galleries, rafting, small unique shops - Jim Thorpe has it all. Only hours from Philadelphia and New York it is not difficult to get to.
My husband Bob and I are residents and owners of several properties in Jim Thorpe, PA. We live next door to our vacation property and are invested in seeing that our guests enjoy their stay. We have 4 children.

Jim Thorpe is a beautiful mountain town named after the famous Olympic athlete Jim Thorpe. He is buried in this town and there is a memorial to him that you may visit.
Lots to do for the indoor or outdoor person. Restaurants, musems and gifts shops for those who don\'t want to be outside. Bike riding, swimming, boating, rafting, skiing (winter), paintball,hiking and more.
6 Miles from the PA Turnpike, NE Extension. Only 1.5 hours from Philadelphia and 2-2.5 hours from NYC. Easy trip for a weekend or a week.
A car is needed to get most places. This property is on the main street so you can walk to museums and restaurants.
Summer and fall. Winter if you like to ski or sled or enjoy winter sports.
