Colchester Zoo is 5 minutes away by car and there is a direct bus service into Colchester Town Centre for shopping, dining and to visit historic attractions such as Colchester Castle, Hollytrees Museum, the Natural History Museum and The Dutch Quarter. Dedham Vale with its art and craft galleries, river walk, boating and Flatford Mill is 10 minutes along the A12. And Mersea Island, famous for Colchester Oysters since Roman times, is just 20 minutes drive.
