Located only 90 miles from our Nations Capital, The Lonesome Dove sits on 8 private acres, and features all the modern conveniences of home life. Relax in the country atmosphere of the Shenandoah's best kept secret, Fort Valley, Virginia. Enjoy the wildlife from the front porch, in one of our Kennedy Rockers, or take a nap in the hammock. Either way, you will be sure to catch a glimpse of the many species of birds, including Blue Birds and Hummingbirds,
rabbits, squirrels, turkey, even whitetail deer, just to name a few!
The Lonesome Dove can sleep 1 to 4 people comfortably. There is a beautiful loft with a double and twin size bed along with a new bathroom with a shower. The downstairs bedroom also has a double bed with a private bathroom which has an old fashioned porcelin pedestal tub and a second shower. The large living room has 3 single size hideaway beds (great for the kids). There is a fully equipt and functional kitchen which offers a dining area, refrigerator, a microwave oven, electric range, and kitchen supplies. Other amentities in our fully furnished and decorated log cabin, include a laundry room with a full size washer/dryer, a new outdoor shower, phone, central heat and air, and television. Linen and towels are provided.
Minimum Stay 3 nights, Check-in 3:00 PM, Check-out 10:00 AM, Rates are for up to 4 people, Each additional person is $25.00 per night. There is a 6 person limit at the cabin.
