Check out our flat rates (no deposits required, excepting when bringing pre-approved pets!) and all the fun things to do on Mt Hood.  Then see how easy it is to request a reservation and fill out a rental agreement. All that is left to do after that is check out the weather cam on our regional links page, check the driving directions to get to the cabin, and you'll have planned a perfect getaway in no time at all. Laughing Bear Log Cabin was built in 1930 by the Steiner brothers who also worked on Timberline Lodge. In all, they are reported to have built some 80 cabins in the Mt Hood area.  One of their signature design features is the Horizon Star or Sundial design that can be found in the eave of the front porch.  They were also well known for their engineering skills and in particular, their use of bent wood found in nature on the mountain and the extended eaves on their cabins.
