Casa de Afufa means house of retreat and if you want to get away from the hustle and bustle of normal life to rest and recuperate, then this is the place.
Our house is a wonderfully private old Spanish farmhouse set in its own olive groves, which look onto the lake near Iznajar, and has views both up and down the valley.
Enjoy a glass of wine on the terrace, sit back, admire the views and soak up the sunshine in this rustic rural haven located in the very heart of Andalucia; only 20 minutes from the ancient city of Antequerra.
Or, for those of you with a little more energy, float around the private pool, play boules on the boule court, walk or cycle through the olive groves down to the lake or just have a quiet game of darts.
The house is wonderfully rural with part of it formed by the original stone cottage, which has been fully renovated, providing 4 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms of which 2 are en-suite.
With the major work performed by an English stone mason, the character and many of the original features, like the olive beams throughout downstairs, have been maintained and restored.
The 11m private pool is stunning, so you can swim, play and relax in complete privacy.
This comfortable home is perfect for that relaxing holiday.
There are 2 double bedrooms, both with en-suite shower rooms, a twin bedroom (plus a sofa bed), and a single bedroom, dining room, satellite TV, DVD & surround sound cinema system in the lounge, kitchen with microwave & dishwasher, laundry with washing machine and another bathroom.
A selection of CDs, DVDs, books and board games are provided for your use.
On the terraces are both sun and shade spots with plenty of eating, sitting and sunbathing opportunities. Add to this a private boule court, dart board and a couple of bicycles and along with 2 bar-be-ques you will find everything you need for that serious tanning, playing, siesta-ing and relaxing holiday.
The 3,500m² acre garden is full of fruit trees, nuts and plants indigenous to the area.
All normal usage of gas, electricity and water is included. Logs are also provided for use in the wood burner during winter months.
