There is a fully fitted, well equipped kitchen for those who prefer self catering with granite topped work surfaces and bespoke, white-wood fitted cupboards. However, as food and drink is very cheap in Goa, you may prefer to eat out at any one of the excellent restaurants or beach shacks which can be found in Varca or along any of the beaches.

The lounge/dining area/kitchen is all open plan divided by a hand-crafted, granite topped breakfast bar. The lounge area comprises a cane corner unit, coffee table and TV with Tata Sky. Relax with an evening drink on the balcony off the lounge area.

Summer in Goa is from mid-March until the end of June. The monsoon period is June-September when approximately 250cm to 300cm of rain can be expected. Winters are from late November to mid February with maximum temperatures of around 26 degrees. The Arabian Sea stays warm all year round, ranging from 25-35 degrees. Their are six important rivers in Goa; the Mandovi, Zuari, Sal Terekhol, Chapora and Talpona.

Area Information

Goa is located on the West Coast of India. Varca is situated in South Goa, about 35 minutes drive from Dabolim Airport and a 10 minute drive from Margao, which is the second largest city in Goa and a centre for travel and commerce. In the village of Varca there are various supermarkets, banks (ATM machines) chemists etc.

How to reach

Fly to Dabolim Airport, Goa - Varca is just 30 km from the airport and should only take about 35 minutes in a taxi. Charter flights fly direct to Dabolim Airport, Goa from Gatwick, Manchester and Birmingham. Scheduled flights go from London Heathrow via Mumbai. ://www.airflights.co.uk Transfers to and from Dabolim Airport can be arranged if required at no extra cost. Local taxis (yellow and black) are available at Dabolim Airport - fares should be no more than 700 rupees.

Transport system

Scooters, bicycles and car hire can be arranged if required, however there is a regular and very cheap bus service. If you want to explore further afield the train is an excellent method of transport.

The area is prone to mosquitos so we would that you medical advice regarding injections and anti-malaria tablets.
