Sleeps: 8La Vigne Gite is a spacious gite for up to 6 people with a private swimming pool and pretty gardens. The property is situated in a quiet hamlet (Leycoussey) near the town of Mareuil-sur-Belle. Surrounded by open fields and woodlands, the views from La Vigne Gîte are delightful. The cost of your holiday includes bed linen (changed weekly), towels, tea towels, gas, electricity & water. The gîte has an information file containing details about local amenities and tourist attractions, along with a detailed map of the region. Please note that no smoking is permitted in the gîte. La Vigne Gîte has an open-plan living room and a well-equipped kitchen with a built-in oven, a gas hob, a fridge-freezer, a microwave oven, a dishwasher, a washing machine, a toaster, an iron and an ironing board. Also provided are satellite TV, a hi-fi and a video or DVD player. Outside, the south-facing terrace is equipped with garden furniture and a barbecue.
The gite has four bedrooms, a family bathroom and a shower room. The family bathroom and three of the four bedrooms are located on the first floor (one double bedroom and two single bedrooms). The shower room and fourth bedroom are on the ground floor. The downstairs bedroom is furnished with a double bed. The property is situated in the lovely hamlet of Leycoussey. Access from La Vigne Gîte to Leycoussey is along a narrow lane with little passing traffic (except the postman’s daily visit), which makes it a very peaceful, relaxing location. Mareuil-sur-Belle is 6kms away and has a post office, a small supermarket, boulangeries, restaurants, banks, butchers, pharmacies and an excellent wine merchant. From Leycoussey, there are lovely walks to the village of Vieux-Mareuil (2kms) and some nearby woods - the footpaths pass right through the centre of the hamlet. Vieux-Mareuil is a traditional Dordogne village and has a bar and a delightful riverside park which is perfect for picnics!
