Situated in Greenane Village, Birchdale House is a spacious modern, warm and friendly home in a beautiful rural setting, with scenic views of the Wicklow Mountains. It is an ideal quiet retreat which can be used as a base to visit the sites of Ireland's Garden County and East Coast. It is also an ideal base for Walking the 'Wicklow Way,' Climbing 'Lugnaquilla,' attending Weddings in the Brook Lodge Hotel, Functions at the Glenmalure Lodge, playing golf, angling and more. Birchdale House has first class ensuite accommodation. Each bedroom is spacious and has a double, single bed and a television. The guest lounge has TV & Video, and Tea & Coffee making facilities.
There are pubs, restaurants and a variety of outdoor activities close by. Children, pets and smokers are welcome. A train station in Rathdrum (5 Km) serves Dublin City and the Ferry Terminals at Dun Laoghaire & Rosslare. Glendalough National Park (8 Km); The Meeting of the Waters (8 Km) and Avoca/Ballykissangel (10 Km) receive a large number of visitors annually and are within easy reach. Ideal location for walking the Wicklow Way. We are located in Greenane, 5Km from Drumgoff (which is on the Wicklow Way) and we can pick you up there and drop you back the morning of your departure, at no charge.
There is a small hotel and restaurant at Drumgoff, where you can eat, before your pick up. Just call me from there, on 46061, as soon as you arrive, to let me know what time you want to be picked up. Also, walkers without their own transport can arrange (by prior agreement) to be picked up and dropped off to and from the train station (Rathdrum), Glendalough, & Lugnaquilla, all Free. Also, we will transfer luggage to other B&B's and taxi guests elsewhere for a reasonable fee. Packed lunches available (by prior agreement).

Other than in July and August, reductions apply to guests who book direct and stay for 2 or more consecutive nights. Also off-season specials available.

Guests\' rooms will be available from 2:30pm on day of arrival, and should be vacated by 11:00am on day of departure.
A deposit of €30.00 per room or agreement to charge this amount to your credit card is required to secure a reservation. Our cancellation policy is as follows:
In the event of cancellation being notified not less than 7 days in advance of arrival date there will be no charge; in the event of cancellation being notified not less than 48 hours, there will be a charge of 50% of the total cost; and in the event of cancellation being notified less than 48 hours, there will be a charge of 100% of the total cost. Above prices are current at January 2010 and subject to change without notice.
