Smooth Sailing! Welcome to this custom built home on the shore of Lake Champlain in Plattsburgh NY. Enjoy shopping for antiques in town, grabbing a bite from a local restaurant, or just staring at the lake! Whether you enjoy snow skiing in the winter (about 1 hr. to Lake Placid and other resorts) or water skiing in the summer, this is the perfect home for a family getaway! Up to 2 dogs are allowed for $150 each for the length of your stay.
 
The space
This house was custom built in 2004 and lovingly maintained.
 
Guest access
Electronic lock on the front door gives you access to the entire house.
 
Other things to note
There are 2 bedrooms on the main floor (queen beds) and a full bath for those with mobility challenges. ID verification and a damage deposit are required through Superhog. There is a video doorbell camera on the front door and a noise monitor on the back porch. Neither may be obscured or removed.

With a toddler in tow I needed a kitchen and other amenities to make my stay comfortable. Since that time, I've been acquiring and lovingly updating several short-term rental properties. Most of my guests are amazed at the decorations and other amenities my homes have to offer.

Great Stay!


We had a fabulous stay at Carrie’s waterfront Plattsburgh home. The photos don’t do justice to how peaceful and beautiful it is. We spent hours a day on the screened in porch, staring at the lake. Carrie is a wonderful communicator who lets you know what’s going on, when anyone is coming to the home for work (like the hot tub servicing), and responds to any questions promptly. The home is well kept, clean, and a good base of operations for exploring the region - we went to Vermont, Lake Placid, Whiteface Mountain, and Montréal. Thanks for a wonderful week!

We will be back!


We are a “foodie family”. The kitchen had everything we needed to create delicious meals as our goal was to stay lakeside on our adventure and enjoy the views and lake and hot tub too! We were up every morning to experience the stunning sunrises and were treated with a beautiful double rainbow our last evening after a storm came across the lake. We will be back!

Simply beautiful. Gorgeous location. Comfortable beds. The pictures don’t do the property justice. Amazing morning view to wake up to each morning. Loved the clawfoot tub. The space was perfect for a family gathering so thankful we rented it.

We enjoyed our stay!


We enjoyed our time at Carrie’s place. Right on lake Champlain with beautiful views. The screened in porch great place for quiet sunrise and gathering for a glass of wine in the evening. The hot tub was enjoyed and several meetings with a nicely laid out kitchen. Carrie is very responsive and helpful. We enjoyed our stay for our 50th Plattsburgh State reunion. Renewing friendships with 50+ years of history and more to come! Great place to visit in the fall or anytime to recharge!

Enjoyed our stay at Carrie's home!


We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Carrie's home! It is just as the pictures show and then some. We had visits from the local rabbits and a woodchuck, as well as a variety of waterfowl. The view is so beautiful and calming during the day and in the evening. The shoreline is rocky (bring water shoes!), but the water was very refreshing and we all enjoyed swimming and floating on it. We ate most of our meals at home, and the kitchen is a cook's dream! Our favorite space of all was the large screened in porch. Carrie was very responsive, friendly and helpful. We are already talking about when we might return!
