Unique in Las Galeras...'The Nest' at JAVO Beach.
 
Private freestanding cottage perched atop the hillside of eight acres of beautifully landscaped private gardens, with sweeping, splendid view of Rincon Bay. A private staircase leads directly down to our beach.
 
Romantic, cozy and loaded with rustic charm - 660 square feet of tropical open air living. King size bed, kitchenette, indoor/outdoor dining, roomy and comfortable terrace and outdoor spa bathroom.
 
The space
The cottage is 50 yards from our beautiful Javo Beach on Playita !
 
You have private access down your steps to Javo Beach where you will have two lounge chairs and a tiki umbrella available for your use daily, right on the sand - looking out onto turquoise waters !
 
You also have exclusive use of a Palapa with double hammock, armchairs, bathroom/changing room and freshwater shower completely private and steps from the beach !
 
Javo Beach is one of the first properties and accommodations in the Dominican Republic that has received a certificate from the German Tourism organisation TourCert - GIZ as strictly following a biodiversity and sustainability program.
 
Guest access
The Nest is a completely private self contained unit set over our beach in our landscaped gardens that you are free to roam at your leisure.
 
Other things to note
The cottage includes daily MANDATORY housekeeping.
 
Please keep in mind that if you do not have plans for hiring a car at your port of arrival, or booking a private driver, (we have a trusted one of many years that we can recommend) las Galeras is :
-75 kilometers from El Catey Samana airport (1 hour drive)
- 190 kilometers from Las Americas airport in Santo Domingo (3 hour drive)
- 340 kilometers from Punta Cana airport (5 hour drive).
 
There are affordable and dependable buses available, but the journey is anywhere from 5-9 hours depending on your arrival city and transfers. You may need to plan an extra day for travel.
 
The cost of a taxi transfer with our driver is
-US$ 70 from El Catey Samana airport
-US$ 200 from Santo Domingo airport
-US$ 300 from Punta Cana airport.
 
If you arrive by Punta Cana airport and want to avoid the 5 hour long rental car (we do not advise you to drive by night) or taxi drive, you also have the option to organize a air transfer :
 
-either by small plane from Punta Cana airport to our local Arroyo Barril airport which is then only a 45 minutes taxi drive to Javo Beach (cost US$ 50). The cost for 2 persons is about US$ 775 and can be booked through Dominican Shuttles : www dominicanshuttles com
-or by helicopter from Punta Cana airport directly to the Javo Beach helipad. The cost varies between US$ 1,900 and US$ 2,200 depending on the dates and company used : www puntacanahelicopters com or www helidosa com
 
We can provide a secure parking for your vehicle.
 
The property has a private helipad. GPS coordinates provided upon request.

Great Place


Great place, great view, great location, amazing host. Everything is so nice, we loved the place it has access to la playita which is a beautiful white sand and blue water beach and not a lot of people there so you will enjoy the beach better than any other beach in the area. We loved everything the host is very nice and responsible, we are so exiting to be back to this beautiful place!!!

It doesn't get much better than this. A stunning villa a short stroll through the garden to a beautiful beach. If it's available and you can afford it, just book it. You will not be disappointed.

Great Stay!!


This was our second stay at the “Nest”. We liked it so much the first time that we planned our trip around their very limited availability. It is one of a kind; charming, comfortable, understated , secure and spotless— with fabulous views, a private beach and Vanessa. Super host doesn’t do her justice. Thanks for another memorable stay.

Highly Recommend!!


The Yocasty listing was exactly as described on Airbnb. They are 100% a super host. I highly recommend the place and I would stay there again. They even gave us local coconut bread and local freshly squeezed pineapple juice which was a delicious breakfast right in front of the beach.
