Beautiful ocean and mountain views. Enjoy the peace and quite of nature in this totally off the grid private and modern apartment. Lots of parrots, hummingbirds and much more. Totally off the grid and self contained with basic necessities such as wi-fi, hot water and full kitchen.

Calibishie's Best Stay


If you're looking to relax in a comfortable place that feels remote, here's your spot. Be ready for a bumpy ride up here — the road's rougher than it looks in the photos, but if you take it slowly in the right vehicle, you'll be OK. Calibishie's handful of restaurants and small grocery stores is less than a ten-minute drive downhill. The best feature is the deck overlooking the forest jungle and, a couple kilometers away, the sea; the netted-in bed, shower, and kitchen are all terrific, too. The pair of dogs are friendly and not overly barky, but there's another dog — further off, but within earshot — that can be a disturbance overnight when it's not raining. Finally, Carol's a kind and gracious host, happy to ensure everything goes smoothly.

Lovely, Comfy Stay


We would like to sincerely thank Carole and her husband for all the information provided regarding our arrival, their thoughtfulness, their advice and their responsiveness to some electrical problems, which should be resolved soon. Although Carole and her husband warned us, the path to the apartment surprised us by its length (nearly 2 km) and difficulty. A raised vehicle, type 4x4, is a must, but driving slowly, and carefully, this is done. When we arrived, we were greeted by two adorable dogs, with whom we felt safe. The apartment is exactly as pictured: spacious, airy, with an outdoor terrace overlooking lush greenery. He immediately gave us a sense of well-being, on the basis of his peaceful side. The little touches: flowers, coffee, water, toiletries, linens and beach towels are a plus.
