Luxurious, spacious and secluded, 7-bedroom Allamanda Estate is ideally positioned among lush flower gardens on a six-acre hilltop. It offers stunning ocean and hillside views in every direction, including the islands of Salt, Ginger and Cooper, as well as Virgin Gorda to the east, and also benefits from cooling tropical breezes.
 
Completely re-built after Irma, this contemporary-styled, elegant villa does not compromise on comfort and is the perfect choice for a large group seeking quality and space. The villa has been well designed to provide areas for all guests to relax as well as numerous areas for group dining and socialising whilst enjoying far-reaching views from every corner of this property.
 
The full-width deck is a wonderful place to spend time.  There are many areas to enjoy… read a good book or take a nap under the shaded gazebo, stretch out on the sun loungers to top up your tan, curl up on the deep cushioned sofas and spend time with family and friends plus a dining area to enjoy alfresco meals.
 
At one end of the courtyard is another well-shaded and peaceful area, also furnished with deep cushioned sofas and chairs as well as an area for casual dining and a wet bar. From the courtyard, the unique Audo’s Rooftop Lounge can be accessed by a spiral staircase. Be prepared to be wowed! by the truly amazing 360-degree views (please note: due to this area not being enclosed, a signed waiver is required by all guests who wish to use the rooftop; this area is understandably not recommended for children).
 
Allamanda comprises of three separate buildings…
The 7000sqft Main House has an impressive living area, separate TV area, open-plan kitchen and adjacent dining area with floor to ceiling glass doors out to the deck, the fire-pit and pool area. The kitchen offers all the appliances, facilities and storage space that you would expect of such a top-quality property. It also has a convenient breakfast bar for light meals if guests should wish not to use the dining table. Conveniently adjacent to the kitchen is the formal dining table with seating for 10 guests.
 
Also within the Main House are three ensuite bedrooms suites – the master king with oversized bathroom with rainhead shower, freestanding tub and twin sinks, and an adjacent bedroom suite which can be made up with either twin beds – allowing parents to have their children safely nearby overnight – or, if required, one king. There is third bedroom suite located courtyard side.
 
One of the most important aspects of a villa such as this is the privacy of the occupants, and in Allamanda Estate this is achieved by the careful placement of the two generous-sized king bedroom suites in a separate pavilion on the far side of the courtyard; both bedrooms have contemporary bathrooms with rainhead showers. There is also a convenient kitchenette between the two suites.
 
The third building is self-contained Hummingbird Cottage, which is set aside from the main house providing excellent privacy for all. The cottage can sleep 4 guests in two bedroom suites and has a comfortable living room and extremely well equipped kitchen. It is the perfect option for guests who enjoy privacy and perhaps a peaceful oasis for some time away from the main group, should they require it.
 
Allamanda Estate is wonderfully inviting, this is particularly noticeable at night thanks to the subtle indirect lighting from the ceilings. Potted plants and the many pieces of original art and furniture further enhance its appeal, while outside the tropical gardens are full of many local species of plants, shrubs and trees, making the place a delight for any keen gardener. Nearby attractions include the ruins of an old plantation* and, a few minutes’ drive further down the Little Mountain road, the white-sands and turquoise waters at Long Bay for some excellent swimming and snorkeling. Josiah’s Bay, a popular surfing beach, is within 10 minutes’ drive of the villa. Allamanda Estate makes an ideal location for any type of special vacation or get-together, including weddings and honeymoons, anniversaries or family reunions. All of these – and more – can be catered for with special arrangements made in advance, and guests may also bring with them their own personal chef or children’s nanny.
 
*“Although this was the time of Bellamy no mention is made of cattle. However, a story still exists of an eccentric lady by the name of Catherine George who, in 1724, had a fair sized plantation and kept cattle, goats, chickens and ducks, many of which disappeared on a regular basis. There were pirates, buccaneers, brigands and beach combers infesting Marina Cay and Trellis Bay at that time so one day she decided to have a bacchanal; an open house where grog would flow like water. At the end of the day there was not one of the 36 attendees left standing; all had been poisoned by her witches brew. The bodies were carried off in two cane carts to be buried near Trellis Bay. Apparently Catherine George lived to a great age and finally died in 1754. The ruins of the Great House can still be clearly seen today. Looking down over the bluff to the south are the remnants of terraces where gardens were planted and further to the east are broken walls, possibly remains of cattle pens.”

Fit for a King


We have been visiting the BVIs for thirty years and always rent a villa. This year we rented magnificent Allamanda Estate. Everything about this property is just perfect. The villa has every amenity and is beautifully decorated. The view is absolutely breath taking, as well as the gardens and property itself. It is furnished with beautiful antiques throughout the villa. You enter through a formal hallway which leads to a large well equipped custom kitchen, perfect for entertaining, a formal sitting room and continues outside to a huge roofed sitting area complete with wet bar, refrigerator and large flat screen TV. Adjacent is a gorgeous free form pool surrounded by lush, colorful plants and is beautifully lit at night. The four bedrooms are separated, two in the main house two in a separate building across the pool. All are spacious, with very comfortable beds, flat screen TVs and ensuite bathrooms. Various seating and alfresco dining areas are scattered around the wrap around shady deck, ready for meals, cocktails, or a game of cards. Best of all, are the owners Delma and Audley who made every effort to make sure we had everything we needed including a delicious arrival meal.

Beautiful!


Our friends visit Tortola often and rented the Allamanda Estate. Since the home was so large, they invited us to stay in ine if the rooms in the small cottage off of the pool area! The house is beautiful and has an amazing layout so whether you want to hang out poolside with everyone or go off on your own to a small private courtyard, the opportunities are endless for whatever you are looking for! The airport can be seen from the house but rarely can you hear any of the air traffic which was worrisome at first but was soon discovered not to be a problem AT ALL! The owners left us a nice \"food package\" that contained the basics for your first day as well as some special items like homemade baked foods and jams! All of the rooms are adorable however we had the room in the cottage that had this huge window that looked over the wooded area! It was very unnerving at first thinking someone could possibly see you as you exited the shower but the privacy here is awesome! We rarely seen the neighbors and when we did, it was nothing but polite conversation! Though this rental is closer to,the airport and not the \"busy\" end of Tortola, it didn\'t matter to us since the island is so small and you can get anywhere anytime! The pool area is gorgeous and we have tons of pictures here because that\'s where we spent most of our time! Out most enjoyable moment was seeing a grape Nehi soda can crawling across the yard on,y to discover a hermit crab had taken up residence! The kids loved it and it became one of many great memories from our trip! We are looking forward to renting this estate again soon!

Dear Delma, We wanted to thank you and Audley for such a wonderful stay at Allamanda Estate. It is the perfect vacation spot for us and we love the island and all it has to offer. It is a great location with an incredible view. We love the pool and the comfortable accommodations. We especially appreciated the chicken and salad that you prepared for our first evening upon arrival. Whas a treat not to have to cook after such a long travel day! We appreciate you allowing us the opportunity to enjoy Allamanda. It is truly our favorite place to stay on Tortola.
