Western PA has so much to offer. We felt safe at the Hopwood Motel, which is in a semi-rural location just south of Uniontown, PA. on the historic National Pike. From there, we accessed the Flight 93 Memorial, the Johnstown Flood Memorial, the Great Allegheny Passage bike trail, the Cumberland, MD area, Wheeling, WV, towns such as Greensburg, PA (which has a great Mediterranean restaurant), and nearby Uniontown, PA stores (Wal-Mart, etc.) and restaurants (Mexican ones, Olive Garden, etc.). The motel managers were very helpful and accommodating.
The property is the old roadside motel layout, which we happen to prefer. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. The room and adjoining bathroom were very clean. The bathroom was stocked with all the toiletries. There was a nice Keurig and coffee, along with bottled water in the room. The outside of the motel is just as clean as our room was. If you like the old style motel, you will like this place. If you don’t, you should go elsewhere for a room.
