Nice location

Our visit was in November so the weather was a little of everything. Great location. On the lake and on the strip. As far as check in process. The owner planned to meet us at the hose to check in instead of just sending a key box code the day of arrival. We arrived after 4 so he left without messaging me. So we sat outside of the house for 25 minutes waiting for a response to messages because we couldn’t get in. Two of the girls arrived before me so they waited longer. Water came down the chimney so the gas fireplace went out and I couldn’t relight it. I did make the owner aware of the issue. The owner was very friendly. He did stop in on day two to see if everything was ok with the rental.

Mother’s Wish Full-filled

Before my mother passed away, she asked me, as her middle daughter of five girls, to please keep our family together in spite of the fact that our ages span 15 years and we in live three different states. We met once on a sister get-away, three years ago before Covid hit. Then, it wasn’t really a possibility with the state restrictions and/or distances needed for travel. This was the perfect place for us to gather! There was plenty of room for sleeping, personal space, and also shared spaces. The card table with chairs was perfect for the games and puzzles provided for our inside time. We enjoyed the covered bridges, walking on nearby beaches and in the parks, and the music provided at the wineries for our outside/away times. We now realize that much of the area closes down for the “season” in October. It made it just a little more challenging to find opened restaurants for dinner. It was an adventure! All in all… we had a terrific “sister time” together. Would we go back another year? You bet! I imagine our mother was smiling as we full-filled her wish once more! Thanks for providing a place for us to reconnect.
