Everything about this place was perfect! An unexpected snow storm!

We had quite an adventure getting to Running Springs. To our surprise, we hit a winter storm 3 miles out of town on The Rim of the World Highway! We did not have chains, but we had help from a local who forged a clean track for us to follow to town. He then proceeded to turn around to help others. It was scary fun the kind that make your heart race. When we got to our room a blanket of snow covered the trees and a warm fire welcomed us. We spent two days in our perfect hideaway, built a snowman, walked to town and bought Christmas gifts from a sweet A frame gift store. Everyone was so nice in town and at the lodge. Will do this again!

A+

We had a great time. The indoor pool hit the spot.
