Description

A comfortable and flexible space for travelers who want to enjoy the city from a convenient location but also want to experience something different than the typical hotel room.  Ideal for a couple or individual that wants to soak in Chicago's 'Little Europe' as their base while visiting other sites. 10-minute walk to the 'L' train if you want to go downtown. Or bike anywhere you want--the city is one of the most bike-friendly in the country!  There are Divvy bike rentals nearby. The apartment's configuration is also great for working there remotely.

Our place is a short stroll away from the world-renowned Old Town School of Folk Music where you can catch jazz, flamenco, samba, salsa, Cajun,  reggae, African and other world music on any given night.  The award-winning Half-Acre Brewery is just steps away in the other direction!  Then there are countless high-end/ethnic/casual dining spots, grocery shopping, wine bars and pubs, a magnificent library, bookstore, European-style bakeries, candy shop, gelato parlor, an enormous park (great for outdoor activities and various year-round events), and many quaint specialty shops not found in other parts of the city.

Depending on your mood for the day, you might start the morning with a brisk walk thru Welles Park, make a stop or two at shops in Lincoln Square, have pad thai noodles for lunch at Green Leaf Thai, then take the el-train ride to the Loop (downtown Chicago) for an afternoon at Millennium Park and the Art Institute, then head back to the neighborhood for dinner at Bistro Campagne, capping off the night at Gideon Welles for drinks. The next day may be a good time to bike around Lincoln Square, have a croissant and coffee at Selmarie, stop in across the street at Merz Apothecary, visit Old Town School of Folk Music to check out the night's performances, then on to dinner to highly acclaimed Gather or Warbler sister restaurants, both of which also offer great brunch options. Or just go economical and buy groceries/supplies at Jewel Food Stores (a minute walk from the property)or L&M Fine Foods and have a cookout in the backyard!

We will reschedule

We didn’t come! We were told we could reschedule later in the spring.

huge space in a convenient location

This is a great space for a large family. Our teen girls loved the loft with the privacy curtain. We enjoyed having two tvs, one for Dad\'s sports in the master/kitchen area and one for the kids video games in front of of their sofa bed. It is close to shopping, and walking distance to Lou\'s pizza. Only about 20 minutes from the museum district. It was perfect for us. We plan on staying here again.

A Great Place for Short or Long Term Stay

This was everything it was advertised to be. Clean, nicely decorated, and plenty of room for two to four people. A ten minute walk to the “L” train Brown line which can get you to the Red line or downtown. The unit has a garage which is invaluable. Good neighborhood with a Jewel and nice restaurants. Don’t miss this unit as you won’t find a better or more reasonable place to stay. Great owner who made the check-in seamless and simple.

Great location!

Located close to train, buses, restaurants and a grocery store
