Description

A fabulous destination, Ocean Isle Beach, boasts wide sandy beaches, and lots of recreational activities for all.  It is a perfect place to enjoy a week at the beach or a quick get-a-way. Our condo is a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home  that is fully equipped to provide a great vacation experience. It is located in the Starboard By The Sea complex, sits on the sound / marsh side of the island and offers fantastic views of sunsets. Enjoy sitting on our covered deck, with your favorite beverage, and watch the sun set!  
 
There are a total of 6 beds and the condo will sleep 8-10 people.  We have a queen and double bed in each of the larger bedrooms plus 2 twin beds in the smaller bedroom.  New mattresses were added in April 2014 and 2017. We do not provide linen and towel service. 
 
If needed, contact owner who will provide names of local people who will provide these items. There is a fully equipped kitchen, central air, washer / dryer, flat screen HDTV, and Wi-Fi. There is a wall mounted TV in the master and second bedroom. Beach chairs, rafts and fishing equipment are provided for guests (located in our storage room). Covered ground level parking with space for 2-3 cars is found under our condo. The beach, with private access, is a short 3 minute walk away. There are 3 tennis courts throughout the complex and one of the courts faces our condo. The complex has 3 Swimming pools (with 1 of the swimming pools located on the beach).  The swimming pool at the beach has a deck area, with rocking chairs, that overlooks the ocean.  
 
We completely remolded our kitchen and  both bathrooms in December 2012. We have brand new appliances and state of the art fixtures in the kitchen. The master bath has a shower stall, while the hall bath has a standard tub / shower unit.
 
Ocean Isle is located between Myrtle Beach, SC and historic Wilmington, NC ( a 30-35 minute drive either way).  Southport, NC, with its quaint shops is located 35 minutes away. There are over 20 great golf courses within a 20 minute drive and Calabash, the seafood capital of the south, is located 20 minutes away. In addition, there are several great restaurants (Giggling Mackerel, Sharky's, Poogies, The Isles) on the island. Over the bridge you will find Sugar Shack (great Jamaican food) and the Sandbar. Take a short 10-15 ride to  Shallotte Point to visit the Inlet Bar and Grill (this place offers views of Ocean Isle, Holden Beach, the Intercoastal Waterway, Shallotte River and the Atlantic Ocean!). Ice cream shops, and stores are located on the Island. Also, there is a miniature golf course, plus a fishing pier for your enjoyment. Across the bridge you will find several shops, a large supermarket, fresh seafood, and a motor cart track. Nearby Shallotte has several supermarkets, 2 'big box' stores, restaurants, shops and a movie theater.

The condo is owned by four couples from the Charlotte, NC area. We have enjoyed the condo as well as Ocean Isle over the past 30 years. We vacation here every year. Our children have grown up visiting Ocean Isle and it's a perfect place to vacation

Ocean Isle is the ideal family beach. Limited population and low crowds during the summer create the appearance of a private place. Myrtle Beach is close if we want a change of pace. 100% refund if you cancel at least 30 days before check-in.
50% refund if you cancel at least 14 days before check-in.
No refund if you cancel less than 14 days before check-in.
 
Damage and Incidentals
You will be responsible for any damage to the rental property caused by you or your party during your stay.

Note
To all rates add 12.75% occupancy tax plus a $50 departure cleaning fee. In addition there is a $50 refundable key fob deposit (returned to guest when we have confirmation that all key fobs are in condo). 
A $450 deposit is required to hold week and balance is due 3 weeks prior to arrival.

What a wonderful stay


This condo was so cozy and inviting. We so enjoyed our stay. It was ou first time to visit OIB and we will definitely come back and will make our first choice of places to stay this condo. The only thing I wish were different is that you have to bring your own sheets and towels. I guess this is common, but it would be nice to not have to do that.

Short walk to the beach and had Starboard by the Sea private beach access. Beautiful view of the waterway from the front covered deck - especially at sunset. Very nicely decorated. Owner does a great job of communicating.

Absolutely Delightful!


This condo was perfect! It is updated, tastefully decorated, clean, well stocked, and most of all, in a great location with a great view! Our first night we sat on the front porch and enjoyed the most incredible sunset! The beach was a five minute easy walk and the neighborhood surrounding the condo was so peaceful and beautiful for our late night strolls. Dennis was so thorough with his directions, information, and recommendations He was always available for any questions! We would highly recommend this place!!! We can\'t wait to go back.
