"Aquahela" is a secluded cottage located on the beautiful Pemaquid Point Peninsula.  Relax and enjoy a rare opportunity to experience both crashing surf and a white sandy beach just one step from the cottage. If you are looking for privacy, with only sounds of the ocean and seagulls, then look no further!

Relax on the deck overlooking the ocean and several islands as the sailboats drift by.
 
Aquahela Cottage faces west thus affording you the warm afternoon sun and glorious sunsets. Enjoy your dinner watching the sun go down over the landscape of John's Bay.
 
This a a true "Get away from it all' location yet close to all amenities and nearby New Harbor, Damariscotta, Christmas Cove, Boothbay Harbor and many more charming Maine villages.
 
Try to fit in a day visiting the magical Monhegan Island just across Muscongus Bay.  Daily ferry service on the Hardy Boat Cruise.
 
The famous Pemaquid Point Lighthouse is a part of our local history, be sure to visit and see the oldest lighthouse in Maine.  And a real treat is right next door where you can enjoy blueberry pancakes and breathtaking views while dining at the SeaGull Cafe.  (Dinner too)
 
Fort William Henry and the Colonial Pemaquid State Historic Site are close by for history buffs and for golfers, we have the Wawenock Golf Club nearby.
 
Enjoy relaxed dining at the many local restaurants that offer the freshest seafood possible.  
 
Local lobster pounds minutes from cottage. They will steam for you or bring them back and cook at the cottage.
 
Boating, fishing, kayaking are all available too and we can help with all your reservations and day trips.

Fall 2019 Trip to Bristol, Maine


You will NOT BE DISAPPOINTED if you rent this gem in Maine! My wife and I so enjoyed the beautiful views around the Bristol/Pemaquid area. Amazing Sunsets! Open the sliding doors to hear the ocean....morning, noon, and night. While there is somewhat of a small living room area, who cares?? You don’t go to Maine to sit inside the whole time. It is a perfect location to the various sites to see on the coast Maine. The kitchen had everything you need (the basics). The bed in the master bedroom sleeps GREAT!! Bathroom, laundry, and wifi worked great. We experienced the nor’easter and, though we had no electricity for a period, the owner took GREAT CARE OF US!!

Our visit to Aquahela was exactly what was needed after leaving the corporate world. Honestly, the first true vacation in 10 years. Everything was as promised and even more.
