I am a Merchant Marine Officer. When I am home I enjoy Hawaii to its fullest with its hiking, kayak, SCUBA, snorkeling and swimming which makes it one of the best places to live now for 24 years. My Wife and Co-Host has a business in downtown Kailua which offers massage therapy. Trained and licensed in US and THAILAND specializing deep tissue massage. We enjoy cooking, traveling, gardening.

We had so much fun! Such a great house for our family! Loved Beaches, Luau & our home away from home


Kalama’s place was absolutely beautiful! Very clean and much more than we expected. Has all the amenities and so much more. Kalama was always very quick to respond if we had any questions and went way beyond checking on us to make sure everything was ok. She was also very helpful with giving us places to see and visit which was awesome. I would highly recommend Kalama’s place. The Beaches are so beautiful! We enjoyed the boogie boards and were happy to have the cooler. Thank you so much to John and Kalama for your hospitality! We can’t wait to stay in your place again the next time we come to Oahu. Mahalo!!

Amazing Rental! Top notch hospitality!


This rental is top notch location, accommodation and hospitality. A true Aloha experience. John and Panita went out of their way to insure my family of 5 had everything we needed for our summer stay. Hospitality went beyond the expected experience and even included home cooked meals and a birthday cake for my daughters big day. They are warm and welcoming and incredible hosts. The house had everything we could possible need for our stay. We have 3 small children and the house was plenty big for us to spread out and have our own space. The back patio was a true retreat for myself and the yard was perfect for my kids to play. I can\'t wait to book our next vacation stay here!

Well maintained house in safe, quiet location with short drive to beaches, conveniences


My family and I had a great stay in this floor of the house in a quiet, safe neighborhood. Was just a quick drive to beaches such as Lanikai, Kailua, Makapu\'u. Nearby shopping center had a market, theatre, and many options for dining. Obviously was a well maintained house with air conditioning and ceiling fans. The three bedroom, two bath floor plan was perfect for my two sons and couple. We could have breakfast in a modestly stocked kitchen. The owners welcomed us with a bowl of local fruits, bananas, papayas, etc. The neighborhood was quiet, even over July 4 weekend. I am looking forward to staying again and would recommend this as a perfect place for a family holiday.
