Beautiful log home on the Prairie River waiting for you to rent. This home has a little bit of everything. 
 
Summer months require a Wednesday check in and Tuesday check out - thank you!
 
One step in this home and you won't want to leave! There are 2 king, 13 queen and 11 double beds in this home. Plus a futon located in the great room. In the kitchen there is room at the table for 18 at the table and 5 at the breakfast bar.
 
There is a full gourmet kitchen, theater room, bar room (with several video games) pool table room, 2 laundry rooms, sun room and a beautiful great room. There is also a large floating dock where you can dock your boat (boat launch is roughly a mile away). 
 
***Please know there are a lot of scammers out there - you need to speak with me in order to reserve your dates. Also - we DO NOT accept wire transfers and you shouldn't wire transfer for any vacation rental unless you are absolutely certain it is going towards your reservation. You will not be able to get your money back (see 'rates').
 
Family Reunions: Consider us for your next family reunion. Plenty of parking and places for people to sleep. The decks have underdecking so if it happens to rain you are protected and there is plenty of room to set up chairs and tables for your guests. Even room if you wanted to bring your own DJ! There is a sound system throughout the cabin to play your own music too from your Ipod or through Sirus Satellite which comes in through the TV to the speakers.
 
Huge yard for setting up a volleyball net or to play some bocce ball! Great quiet setting for everyone to catch up on what has been happening in their lives. There are 2 nice sized picnic tables on the deck but there is ample room for you to set up tables and chairs for your family to sit and be comfortable. The dock is an oversized floating dock with plenty of room for you to bring your boat and tie up to it. The boat launch is roughly a mile away - directions to the launch will be in the cabin.
 
We are located 7 miles north of town and 5 miles east on the Prairie River.
 
Corporate Retreats/Company Parties: You will be a hit at your company if you decide to have your next corporate retreat here! Lots of parking, a bar to set up your beverages, a patio to set up your tables and chairs, video games, theater room, pool table... the possibilities are endless. There is a golf course roughly 8 miles away for your guests if they choose. You can bring your boats and tie up to the dock and bring your guests out fishing on Big Sandy Lake or idle up and down the river for a quiet relaxing evening. If it happens to rain the decks have underdecking installed so you are protected from the rain and can still sit outside and enjoy the fresh air if you don't happen to be busy with watching movies in the theater!
 
If it calls for it you can set up your own DJ in the bar or right outside the bar door! There is a sound system throughout the cabin in case you want to play your own music off of your Ipod or through Sirus Satellite which comes in through the TV to the speakers.
 
Scrapbooking/Quilting Groups: Are you looking for a place to crop? Then this is the place for you! Bring your tables and chairs and rearrange the furniture to scrapbook or quilt with your friends until your heart's content! You can even stay in your PJ's all day! Crop or sew all day long and then just leave your stuff out so that when you want to get back to it you won't have to take the time to set it up again! The kitchen will be the perfect place for you to step away from your tables and all enjoy meals together and exchange ideas. If it is nice outside you can even set up tables on the decks. 
 
In case you need a break from crafts or if your significant other or friends with who want to get away with you that are not into crafts there are so many things to enjoy and recharge your batteries! Have the guys bring their boats and go fishing and bring back dinner!
 
Several bar/restaurants in the area for your convenience. Many different attractions for instance there is a winery in town for you to purchase some locally produced wines, food and gifts!

Truly amazing cabin


The cabin was truly amazing! Had tons of room for a huge family get together. We had 18 people and had plenty of room and beds. Can’t say enough about the property owner/manager Amy! She’s amazing to deal with. She was always available and checked in to make sure everything was perfect. Would definitely recommend this property for anyone looking for a great place to spend a week enjoying the north woods and big Sandy Lake

Great place for a family reunion!


Amy was great to deal with. Very responsive. Although, I really didn’t have any issues during the stay she checked in a few times to see how things were going. The place is even better than the pictures. Tons of space and plenty of rooms/beds and also the rooms were very quiet (especially the master suite) so the kids could stay up late playing games and not bother anyone. The beds were also very comfortable. I highly recommend this place for a family reunion. It is very convenient to the lake (boat access is less than a mile away).

Great family vacation again!


Amy really went above and beyond for us again. This was our second trip to this \"cabin\" and it was better than the first. Love that there is plenty to do on the rainy days. We rented a pontoon and were able to dock it on the river behind the house. Worked out great. We slept 34 comfortably. From a 2 week old to an 80 year old, all were happy. Thank you Amy!
