MODERN CUBEX is an Ultra-Modern+Eco-European Passive House with sunny south-facing mountain views, majestic rock outcroppings, a 1000 year old Ponderosa Pine and private hiking trails 3 minutes to North Boulder and 11 minutes to Pearl street. Ideal for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, and families. A serene sophisticated mountain experience.
 
The space
MODERN CUBEX is one of the most advanced houses in the world based upon German Passivhaus design combined with Eco Elements, Natural Interior finishes integrated with an Ultra-Modern European aesthetic. The intention was to fully express the forest by minimizing the structure. As a Passive House, it is oriented South for Solar gain with beautiful Mountain views and doorstep casual and rustic hiking trails. Our home features European quality organic beds and linens, a gourmet chef's kitchen, high ceilings, and a gas fireplace. After you experience the excitement of Boulder, we offer a serene sophisticated mountain retreat to relax and rejuvenate.
 
Guest access
Guests have access to the entire home including the single garage space for parking and laundry room located in the garage. The other portion of the garage is used so there may be other people who will enter and exit freely. The home is located above the garage so you will hear the garage door opening and closing - If you are sensitive to the sound of a garage door opening and closing or the sound of people moving in and out of a garage, please choose another home. In addition to cable, we have Apple TV, and Netflix.
 
Other things to note
Although our home is Modern in design our Heart is warm so please relax and enjoy the experience. Our intention is for our guests to have a luxury experience including, but not limited to, organic beds, European quality towels and natural linens, basic hygienic supplies and food and drink basics. We do have a portable crib and the third bed is a queen natural futon for the living room. We do have a bee hive on the land and there are wasps in the area. We have a medium sized very sweet dog that barks at people she does not know, but does not bite. If you need more or have special requests before or during your stay, please ask and we will do our best to serve. We may not be able to meet the needs of every guests, but we strive to meet your needs.

Perfect


Mark’s place was spectacular. Tucked into a canyon outside Boulde but only 15 minutes from the center of town, we enjoyed fresh air, precede mornings, and spectacular stars and all that Boulder has to offer as well. The space is clean and modern, high tech, and had everything we needed, from kitchen items to plush towels. Perfect for our visit! Thank you, Mark!

We really loved our stay here! The views from the house were just incredible! It was such relaxing place...we enjoyed morning coffee while reading on the patio and taking in the beautiful scenery each quiet and peaceful. We also appreciated the many thoughtful touches throughout the house that help made us feel at home. It was a quick ride to downtown Boulder, hikes, and a creek and parking was easy to find. The hosts were so kind and welcoming. Highly recommend a stay here. Thanks so much. :)
