Comfortable Winter Escape in Puerto Rico

Our family of 7 thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Caribe Del Mar. The view of the ocean in the backyard is spectacular! The weather was perfect for a winter escape from frigid New England. Comfortable furniture made the porch a favorite hangout to relax and enjoy the tropical breezes. The hammocks under the palm trees were enjoyed by all. The home was very clean and comfortable. The Lordemar beach bar/restaurant is a short stroll down the shore where you can enjoy an appetizer, a meal, or just a Pina colada.

Dreamy location!

My group of 7 just got back from a 5 night stay - it was heavenly! My husband, our two older children and their significant others and our 11 year old. The house was lovely, plenty spacious and that beautiful backyard - the photos don\'t do it justice. We can\'t wait to go back! Irene and Sherry were both fantastic. The Patillas area is stunning and was a great home base for exploring the mountains, rain forest and la pared beach. You won\'t be disappointed!

Peaceful Paradise Perfect for Families

I had the pleasure of staying at this property with my sister, mom and our husbands and kids. It is the perfect place for a restorative vacation with those you love. There were 9 of us and the house was the perfect size to accommodate all of us. Having the beach literally in our backyard was simply amazing. The staff and Sherry were a dream to work with and I would highly recommend this property for anyone looking for a relaxing getaway and a real Puerto Rican experience. Though this property is close to a surprisingly busy road, the house and property more than make up for that, just bring ear plugs for the road noise and coqui frogs.

Absolutely Amazing!

This property was absolutely amazing and was exactly as described in Sherry\'s VRBO detail. Sherry is an amazing owner who was very responsive from beginning to end. The house manager Lizzie was also responsive & met all of our needs. The view outside the kitchen & living room windows was breathtaking. My family and I spent most of our days outside enjoying the beach, reef, wildlife (snakes, lots of iguanas/lizards, egrets), native Puerto Ricans, & the beautiful weather. Keep in mind the weather is beautiful; however, the humidity is high so if you don\'t mind a lil sweat just enjoy & drink plenty of liquids! If you don\'t know, Puerto Ricans love their music and you will hear it played very loudly in the cars that come up & down the street. Also, the native frogs called Coquios are numerous in PR & consistently loud most nights. With that said, if you are looking for total peace & quiet, this is not the spot for you, OR, get some really good earplugs. As for the food, we shopped at a local market & cooked some days & we visited Musafa Restaurant which is about a mile or so down the road for some great food & live music. Each time, we had the same waitress named Maribela who spoke impeccable English & her customer skills were fantastic. Thankfully my husband knew a little Spanish; therefore, we didn\'t have any serious issues trying to communicate w/ the PR natives. Overall the PR natives were VERY friendly. We did a couple of day excursions at Luquillo beach and to Vieques Island. Luquillo beach has the calmest waters I have ever experienced & it was loads of fun. We did a boat ride out to Vieques Island and snorkeled which was absolutely breathtaking. All other days, we simply vacated at our vacation property. We had no issues whatsoever with any bugs or anything else inside the house. As long as you do what you are supposed to do as a renter by keeping the house clean and abiding by everything in the contract & what you discuss w/ Sherry there should be no issues. The only change I recommend Sherry make in her VRBO detail is to remove the reference to a chef because her chef is no longer available if I recall. Overall, this is one of the best vacations we have had in a long time. We simply wanted to go to PR & live amongst the natives to truly enjoy their culture & that is what we did. My youngest son stated that was the best vacay he has ever had. Enjoyed every minute of it & we will be back!!

Last Minute Getaway to Paradise

Casa Caribe Del Mar fulfilled all my wishes during this vacation! All 9 of us were very comfortable! We were all in awe when we arrived and saw how close we were to the beach. My daughter and nephews couldn\'t wait to go in the ocean!!! The location was great, as I was looking for a quiet place but close enough to market, restaurants, etc. We lost power in the middle of the morning one of the days but the generator kicked in right away! Lizzy was very helpful with directions and restaurant suggestions. Also checking to make sure we didn\'t need anything! Thank you very much for facilitating the last minute arrangements all for just under $300 per night was incredible and I will definitely be contacting you next time I\'m visiting the island!! Beachfront beauty Wonderful Town

The house is a true Spanish Hacienda with a Caribbean flair right on the beach. We had two couples and a teenage niece. It was very spacious and yet quaint and comfortable and absolutely beautifully decorated. We had one extra bedroom that my husband used for an office. The small details made this house perfect. Comfy beds good sheets and every possible tool or appliance large and small needed in the kitchen . Extended cable networks and wifi anywhere on the property. The private back yard beach front is nothing less than breathtaking. Sherry is professional and has expert knowledge about this island and Lizzy her manager...well just the best! We asked for fish and she came back with 4 lobsters and said is this ok? LOL...We said oh yes! OMG so delicious The town is very quiet during the week but the weekend it became alive :) Everyone was out and about. We saw families sitting on porches together, little food carts went up with amazing homemade Puerto Rican dishes. Sunday morning we passed the local church and decided to attend the service. We don\'t speak Spanish but the love in that service needs no language. After service, we were welcomed by so many. We met Sherry\'s electrician and one of her housekeepers along with many others who know who Sherry is and I would say she not just well know but has certainly made a positive impact on this town and the people. This whole experience was the best we have had and nothing like any other vacation we have been on. Such an amazing property and town so highly recommended.

Loved our stay

My husband and I planned our family vacation with our three grown children to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We started out at Casa Caribe Del Coco. We enjoyed our beach side home there a lot, especially the separate master suite and private yard on the beautiful coral beach. However the washing machine had some problems so the manager, Lizzie, generously offered for us to move to Casa Caribe Del Mar, just down the beach. We loved this home as well. It was larger than Del coco and beautifully decorated, had a fully stocked kitchen and plenty of linens. And we couldn\'t have been happier with the yard and beach there, just beautiful. Thank you Lizzie, for your recommendations for beaches and restaurants and your attention to our needs. We loved the central location of Patillas which gave us a very local feel away from the tourist spots, but close enough to do day trips to them.It was a wonderful Anniversary in a beautiful part of the world. I would recommend Casa Caribe Properties for their great customer service and beautiful properties.

Private Secluded Tropical Paradise

Our family spent 2 weeks in Puerto Rico and 9 days and 8 nights in this one of kind magical paradise. Next time we will not waste the extra days up in San Juan but stay the entire two weeks at Casa Del Mar. This home and property was beyond our wildest dreams for a vacation. Especially after staying in a hotel suite at double the cost. The house was immaculate with plenty of room and the decor was playful, colorful, and done is such good taste. House has everything you need to the smallest detail. But I have to say the beautiful tropical yard and beach front was what made our trip. I heard there was wedding in this yard the month before and I am sure my daughter will get married here next year. Lizzy was great and Sherry is a hands on owner who is professional and very knowledgeable about the island and yet I heard she has a another home in my area. I would love to me her. We highly recommend this home for many reasons. This was an A+ vacation from the customer service the this incredible home and location. Thank you Lizzy and Sherry for a wonderful time.

Perfect Home for Destination Wedding!

When my fianc� and I decided on a very small, intimate destination wedding in beautiful Puerto Rico we were so excited when we found this home! It was big enough for our family, had great reviews, and of course a gorgeous beach perfect for a ceremony! Let me just say the reviews and photos just can\'t do justice to how incredible this place is!! What a dream! From the start Sherry was the perfect host along with her manager Lizzy. They made sure we had everything we could possibly need and that everything was perfect for our wedding. The home was spotlessly clean and the yard beautifully manicured. You can tell that Sherry takes great pride in offering vacationers a gorgeous home away from home in paradise. Just a few miles down the road we found a Frappe stand that was beyond delicious and our favorite food came from any of the stands along the road! While here we drove to Orocovis for the Toro Verde Zipline Park and we took an air taxi to Flamenco Beach - both of these tied for our favorite day trip! I cannot give this home and host enough praise and would recommend to anyone! Whether you are looking for a wedding destination, a relaxing vacation on the beach, or a home base for adventures around the island this is the home for you!

Amazing!

We absolutely loved this home! It\'s decorated so cute and is very clean! The location and view are breath taking! Our 2 families had kids and adults. We enjoyed relaxing in the hammocks and walking on the beach collecting beautiful sea glass. We highly recommend this home!

Third Amazing Visit Gets Better Every Year :)

We are regulars to Sherry\'s properties. Del Mar is now our favorite! Perfect for our family. You are right there at the water on a hammock on a lazy sunny day just pinching yourself if this is real. Sunrise and sunsets are unbelievable. I took 100\'s of pictures. I fished on the shore with my son. We also snorkeled right there. We know we will get a spotless clean House. But Del Mar also has beautiful decor and is fully furnished with everything. Just bring you\'re tooth brush a bathing suit and a small amount of cloths. Washer dryer towels on property. All you need to cook or BBQ great meals. Boys played Frisbee on the green grass under the palms and swam in the ocean all day. Sherry was friendly and made booking a breeze as always. Lizzy and the girls made us feel at home. This is why this house is #1. You get it all.

The tranquil side of Puerto Rico

Caribe del Mar is a well-maintained beautiful property right on the water. It has all the comforts of home. The location is on the tranquil side of the island and is not near anything touristy. So, plan to either relax or drive a lot. We spent much of our week grilling on the large, professional grill, mixing rum drinks, and relaxing in the two hammocks. That said, San Juan, Ponce, Fajardo, and El Yunque are all within a couple hours drive and we managed to do Old Town SJ, a dive trip out of Fajardo, and a day of snorkeling near Ponce, plus some off-the-beaten track sight-seeing. The property owners have a local family that maintains the place, and they will help get you oriented, and are available if you have questions or need help.

Amazing getaway

We had an amazing stay at Casa Caribe Del Mar. Two families with 4 small kids stayed for 5 nights and had plenty of space. The kitchen (and big barbecue) had everything we needed to cook great meals for both families. We stayed \'home\' most days and relaxed in the hammock - but it was easy to take day trips to other beaches and the national park. All in all; everything we could\'ve wished for.

Had a wonderful week

We had 2 families staying here there was plenty of room for all of us. We really enjoyed the view and swimming in the ocean I think my favorite part was sitting on the porch and drinking coffee. We did find a mall and Walmart in Guayama we were able to get souvenirs in the mall at a reasonable price We had Ajaysha bring us Little Italy pizza one night I would highly recommend that pizza place. We did have to spend one night in the ER in Guayama We didn\'t want to bother Ajaysha that late at night but it would have been helpful since no one at the hospital spoke English lucky for us the Doctor spoke some. I would definitely recommend this house and I would love to come back one day

Vacation Paradise

Just left this beautiful paradise! This was our first experience with renting a private home on VRBO. We are hooked on this is the way to vacation. 4 couples each with our own private bedroom for the price is astounding. This beach house was put together with care to every detail both inside and outside. It is fully stocked with all essentials. All we needed was our cloths and bought our own food. Nicer and newer furniture than I have at home :). The views from the house and yard are out of this world. We watched the pelicans dive in the ocean for fish everyday. The beach was our private space and memorizing. We will be back. We did 3 day trips to Ponce museum, Deep Sea fishing tour, and Pork roast up in the local rain forest. It was great to spend the rest of our time at the house. I think we hit the jackpot on this one. Thank you Sherry and staff for giving us personal service making us secure on an island we had never been too. First class home and priceless setting for our family. Side note: Saw the 1 star new review when getting on the site to write this. They were there about a month before us and can not believe they had such a negative experience. For us there were no mice, no bad odor, all appliances, toilets, washer dryer, hot water etc worked perfect. The house was clean from top to bottom inside and outside. Glad septic did not back up during our trip and understand that frustration. But the rest of that review is really not accurate at all. It is sad that people will rate you and your home based on unforeseen problems that I for one am well aware that you have taken care of. Don\'t let one bad review every now and then out of years of great reviews dampen your spirit. You have a treasure and you know it. Now so do we :)

A Perfect place to soak up the sun and swim in the Caribbean Sea

My family and I spent a week with my sister and her family in this most amazing home and property. We came together from opposite sides of the US after not seeing each other for almost two years. I wanted it to be perfect and it was. There was plenty of room for us and the house is simply gorgeous. But I will have to say the back yard was the most breathtaking spot on the planet. Tropical plants and green grass ending on the sand and sea. Personally each morning I got up made my coffee and took a swim alone before the family got up. An organic wash in the salt sea was amazing. The water is warm and shallow clean and clear. I felt so refreshed on this peaceful quiet beach. When a home and property is kept in pristine condition like this one there are no worries so this was true and precious quality time for us. Sherry\'s girls are there to please and very accommodating. Ayesha got us fish and went to the store twice when we called. We had a problem with the dryer and it was fixed by the electrician the next morning. The only real negative is we had to tandem park and it was tricky getting out with the curve on the road. Overall we soaked up the sun, swam in the sea, ate great food did and some sight seeing but most important we got caught up on each others lives as a family. A true dream vacation. We all loved it! Thank you Sherry for everything!

Slice of Heaven

We had such a lovely time. Your space is just incredible. We had a ball. We took your advice and went on the catamaran tour to Icacos - thank you for that. We went for a hike into the rain forest. We ate at local places we would find on the way. We toured Old San Juan on our last day. Heaven. My favorites: BBQ\'ing in the Backyard, Shell Hunting (bring water shoes), Listening to the Ocean, Cooking fresh caught seafood. The People are incredibly friendly and helpful. Tostones. :) Things I wish I could have done: Every Sunday there are little parties with music at the roadside stops - I wish we would have come in time to do that. And I wish we could have hit a pig roast.

Would Go Back In A Heartbeat

This was our fourth trip to Puerto Rico and the first time to this part of the island. Previously we have stayed in Rincon, which we really enjoyed, but wanted something a little more low keyed. There were six adults and two children (ages 1 and 3). We loved Patillas and the home. Right on the ocean. When we first arrived I took my three year old granddaughter down to the ocean and she asked \"Is this my ocean?\" and I said for the week it was. We were on constant watch for mermaids for her. We made great memories. We did have problems with the sewer backing up but Sherry\'s staff responded quickly. We did two day trips from this location, San Juan and Ponce and it worked out very well. Drove to Lechon Highway on Sunday where the locals go for lechon. Walked to the restaurants, which was a plus. Discovered the public beach on our last day there and we really enjoyed that. The locals were very friendly and helpful, happy to have tourists. Sherry\'s staff was very attentive and responded quickly when we called. Bought fresh seafood down the road and it was nice to sit outside and grill. My only complaint is that we didn\'t stay for two weeks. Next time.

The Gem of the Enchanted Isle

This is our 8th year to come to Patillas for a break from winter. Every year is better than the one before it. Sherry takes such good care of this house, and everything you read in the description is absolutely true! Waking up in the morning to the sound of the surf, the spectacular sunrises, the comfortable seating both in the yard and on the verandah, the view from the kitchen window, actually the view from anywhere in the house, are better than you will find anywhere else. Our grandson enjoyed the sandy play area in the yard, and we all enjoyed gathering for meals on the verandah, just steps from the kitchen. It is truly our home away from home, and as soon as we leave we start dreaming of coming back again!!

Amazing Tropical Paradise

Our family stayed at Del CoCo and Del Mar in January. We stayed at Casa Del Mar while our parents stayed at Del CoCo because of the fenced yard for the little yapper pooch they take everywhere with them :). Perfect in every way for the folks and my two younger brothers. Our family stayed at Del Mar and it was just amazing. A very large home for my wife and three kids. The views are incredible and the back yard was spectacular. The ocean is right there and very warm and clear. We loved this yard. The house looked like it came right out of Better Homes and Gardens magazine. This house had it all. Large bedrooms and bathrooms all decorated to lift your spirits with colorful art and bright cheerful bedspreads and comfy beds. The living room and kitchen is as advertized. State of the art and top of the line furniture TV and appliances looked brand new. What a way to spend a vacation. Sherry described both properties perfectly and made the booking process easy. She also helped us plan some outings as a family. Norma who met us at arrival was helpful throughout the week at both houses. I will say without a doubt, over all excellent management and customer service. This along with beautiful homes made this trip a hit. We just booked for next year so this review was due. We would recommend any of Sherry\'s properties because you know what your getting with her.

Amazing winter week in the Tropics

A lot of snow here in New York right now and I can\'t stop thinking about our wonderful vacation in Puerto Rico in December. An early Christmas gift to our family that we now plan on making a tradition every year. Casa Caribe Del Mar is absolutely the best find. Beautiful home and garden out to the sandy sea. Beautifully decorated with top of the line appliances and gorgeous bedrooms and cozy beds. The video was great to watch but it is breathtaking to see it in person. Wonderful family time. Played board games at night, ate delicious local food and met some of the nicest people in this little town. Sherry and her staff also friendly and professional. Very highly recommended. 5 star all the way. We hope to enjoy this again next year. It is a home away from home.

Amazing 50th Birthday Celebration and Thanksgiving Family Reunion

My family and I rented Del Mar and Del Sol for the week and we had a fabulous time. Del Mar was perfect for a party of 25, it is very spacious. The house was very clean and comfortable, the pictures on the website is exactly what you get. Every morning we would get up early just to see the sunrise and plan our day. It was so beautiful just sitting, drinking coffee and just watch the sun hit the water. Words cannot do it justice. The staff was amazing, we hired Nyrma for the week to do the housekeeping while we were there and she was the best. The house was always clean and if we needed anything either her or Jimmy would run out for us to make sure we had everything we needed. Irene, Nyrma and Jimmy did an amazing job at both my parties, my guest were very well taken care of, they had only wonderful things to say about them. I cannot thank them enough for making my 50th so memorable. My family and I are already planning next year. Thank you Sherry for sharing this amazing home with us.

Tropical Paradise

We stayed at this beautiful property August 2015. It is getting cold here in Iowa and we are getting ready to book our next trip to Del Mar and find at no surprise that winter dates are very limited. This home is worth working our schedule around the dates left open. The home has character and the back yard and views of the ocean are nothing short of the best. Bedrooms are spacious and comfortable and home is very clean. House has everything we needed and more than expected. If you want million dollar views from house and yard and just steps from the warmest clear blue water right in the back yard this is it. Del Mar is the best rental we have ever stayed at and we highly recommend it. But book early because this house gets booked fast and far in advance. Once you have stayed there you will not question why. Great Place!

Casa Caribe Homes are the best #1 My favorite!

We had a family Reunion and stayed at 4 of Sherry\'s properties. It is hard to choose which was my favorite but loved the back yard to the sea the best at Del Mar. They were all different in style and architecture but had the most important things in common. Beautifully decorated. Top quality from furniture to linens. Spotlessly clean and a staff that catered to our every whim! Service was beyond what we dreamed. The location of Del Mar had it all with room for us all to congregate on sunny afternoons. It had a beautiful beach and the house just colorful and so much character just gorgeous. It was scary to rent all these homes from the internet. But the end result is this part of Puerto Rico is just what we were looking for in beauty and tranquility. It is truly a special part of the world not many know is there and we were lucky enough to find and we got a great little company down there that knows what they are doing and are the best at it. You can not go wrong with renting from Sherry. Brenda her manager is the best. If you are smart your search stops here. This little town was our dream spot and we will for sure be back!

PERFECT Family vacation in the tropics

I give this entire experience 5 stars. Sherry the owner was friendly and informative from the first conversation. She answered the phone every time I called and made the booking process easy. She took her time in explaining every question I had. The house is gorgeous. Very Clean, well furnished and the back yard was absolutely breathtaking. The grounds were professionally manicured as beautifully as any high end hotel. We were provided with two pack and plays and two high chairs for our twin 18 month old baby girls and I loved the main bathroom as it had a bathtub to bathe them in before bedtime. Brenda the Manager gave us top quality service with a smile. If you want fish or anything else all we needed to do was text her. She was Johnny on the spot. I will say the ocean was calm clear and warm but there was a lot of seaweed on the shore when we got there but it mostly washed away before we left and backing in the carport is a must so you can see oncoming cars when going anywhere. Overall it was a great week to get away from our very cold home and found it hard to leave. We would highly recommend this home.

Honeymoon and Wedding

What a wonderful Wedding-Honeymoon-Vacation! All of our families traveled to Puerto Rico to celebrate our wedding in Patillas, Puerto Rico. Our families stayed in Casa Caribe Del Mar and Casa Caribe Del Sol and honestly the pictures don�t do it justice. The view is beyond beautiful and the pool at Del Sol is a wonderful added feature we used daily after our wonderful adventures throughout Puerto Rico. Kortney and I, our friends and photographer stayed at Casa Caribe Del Coco and were absolutely taken back by the wonderful cozy house. If you are looking for a place to stay, Patillas, Puerto Rico is the place to look, it is centrally located in Puerto Rico and most of the adventures are close. I can�t forget the staff especially Brenda. Our wedding would not have been possible without her. She was on top of every detail, including finding the bakery, reception location and ordering flowers. See you next year Sherry!!!

Amazing Trip to Beautiful Patillas, PR!

I had the pleasure of staying at Casa Caribe Del Mar for a trip with my family and girlfriend and we had a blast! This is a beautiful home that is very spacious inside, much more than you would ever need for a beach vacation home. There are 4 bedrooms in this well-decorated home, and plenty of living room and kitchen space. This was great for relaxing and making meals. The yard was beautiful, with hammocks and furniture for hanging out by the sea. A few steps from the yard and you were on the beach! We loved exploring the beach and enjoyed the incredible view. Sherry\'s staff was great. They were very friendly and gave us recommendations on what to do around the island. We even met them out for a drink on a Friday evening! We took a couple excursions which were a reasonable distance from this southern PR location. It is the perfect distance to provide privacy yet keeps you close enough to the rest of the adventures available on this island. There were several restaurants close to the property that provided us with some \"local flair\" to our vacation diet. Sherry\'s staff also helped us buy lobster from the locals that we cooked for dinner one evening. I cannot wait to go back to this home! This was easily one of the best trips of my life. I would recommend this home for all types of vacationers.

Seaside Paradise Vacation

My husband and I spent time at Casa Caribe del Mar at the end of May with our large group. We had also rented the Casa Caribe del Sol next door but we spent several days at del Mar as well. It has a beautifully finished interior and was very clean and inviting. There are four good sized bedrooms, and we stayed in the master suite, which had it\'s own full bathroom as well as plenty of storage for our personal items. The king sized bed was a bonus and it occupied a very large room- we didn\'t feel cramped at all even after we unpacked most of our luggage. The house itself is very spacious, with a large living room with a TV, a galley kitchen and eating area, and an extensive, palm tree-dotted backyard with lush grass that gives way to a sandy beach. You can walk for a long time in either direction on the beach and I picked up several pieces of sea glass, urchins, and many sea biscuits that would wash ashore. There is even a sea turtle\'s nest marked near some palm trees just outside the property! When you return in the afternoon and want to relax, there are two cloth hammocks strung between the trees where you can swing and listen to the sound of the ocean as the sun sets. We loved our relaxing vacation at Casa Caribe del Mar and enjoyed experiencing Patillas and the surrounding area via a snorkeling day trip, an outing to a pig roast over the mountain, a drive through the rainforests, and eating out at local restaurants.

FABULOUS Spring Break on the Caribbean

Was waiting for my deposit to be returned via a check in the mail before writing this. Finally called Sherry and she told me she sent it via Pay Pal 3 weeks ago (the way I paid it)....whoops! Was deposited in my Pay Pal account on the date she said. So sorry for the delay....My bad! So deposits are returned the way you pay them and in a very timely manner. Actually I should have know as every other experience with this trip was excellent in every way. This property is special! It has that Caribbean feel the minute you walk in the door from jaw dropping views of the gorgeous back yard and sea from the house.... to clean spacious beautifully decorated rooms throughout. Decor has that perfect touch for a family to feel at home. I describe it as quaint, quirky whimsical, colorful and playful. Large TV in living room and a variety of games for both adults and children. Kitchen fully equipped with everything!!!! and I mean everything you could think of needing from every size of cook ware right down to tupperware to store leftovers. laundry room in the house was great with 4 kids with at least 10 towels a day used by the way I could have not washed a towel all week and still had plenty but did not want a pile on the floor of smelly towels. Just how I am. My kids loved the back yard......we all did but most important is they had such a great time. Swimming collecting sand crabs while Ron and I drank wine swinging on the hammocks during the day. I will also say once the kids were in bed we had some very romantic evenings in that back yard together alone in this beautiful setting. Quickly I will mention great food in town. VERY friendly people who all knew Sherry (they called her the blonde Caribe lady) We felt very welcomed especially by Brenda the property manager and her staff. We stayed at the house most days.... did not go out much with 4 kids all under the age of 12 years but did not feel we missed anything. It was the perfect vacation for us. So thank you Sherry we so hope to come back next year.

Casa Caribe Del Mar keeps getting better

We are return guests all the way back from 2009, 2011, 2013. Every time we come back we see the new and updated wonderful changes the owner Sherry does to this little piece of paradise. Always new paint and linens. This time a remodeled master with such a comfy King size bed. Outdoor back yard lighting under the Palms is breathtaking at night. I have come to expect this from the owner as she makes sure every detail is perfect. Nothing can change the location which is the best. The beach is the best and secluded and absolutely beautiful. You will see a handful of people at most during your stay on this private beach. So much is updates but the important things stay the same like the original charm of this Caribe-Spanish beauty we have come to know as our home away from home. We so look forward to our return trips. This is our little piece of paradise too thanks to Sherry...So again thank you for allowing us the pleasure of enjoying this treasure with you.

Two weeks in paradise:))

My family had a wonderful time and the house provided an almost perfect setting! We had 7 adults and my two young grandsons...Sherry, the owner, provided us with everything we needed for them...high chairs, pack \'n\' plays, beach toys. I wish that the beach was less rocky and the water calmer but as far as the house and yard it was beautiful and we just loved it. We even loved the beach and water...you learn to adapt:). The roads in Puerto Rico are narrow and hilly and take some getting used to and the noise from the road bothered us at night sometimes...loud cars, etc...but it was better during the week and we got used to that too:). It was exactly the vacation that Ive been looking for and all others will be held up in comparison to this one. If you are looking for all the luxury and amenities of a resort then this may not be for you...but if you want to experience Puerto Rico and the people as we did then you\'d love this place. The view of the backyard and beach from the house was outstanding and I\'ll never forget our first morning there...upon first sight of it as I walked down the hall from our bedroom I was rendered speechless and my jaw dropped open...the definition of \'awe\'. We did some traveling but honestly I think we enjoyed our lazy days at the house the most. Irene, the property manager, brought us fresh fish and lobster....all we needed to do was text her. We cooked delicious dinners in the kitchen and ate on the back porch every night that we \'stayed in\', spent whole wonderful lazy days on the beach, drank coffee in the morning on the beach and watched the sunrise, played cards every night on the porch until we were so tired our heads dropped. It was simply the best family time ever. One trip we enjoyed was taking the ferry to the island of Culebra & spending the day at Flamenco Bay...check it out on the web if you are interested in seeing one of the \'most beautiful beaches in the world\'.

Wonderful family holiday

Our family of 7 adults and a two year old granddaughter had a magical time at Casa Caribe Del Mar. The house was spacious for everyone to have their own room and had comfortable gathering places both inside and outside. We had all our meals outside on the veranda while gazing at the spectacular view of the Caribbean. We live in three different states, so getting together somewhere warm during holidays is a family tradition. We went to a couple of beaches where the swimming was better and to the rainforest, but mostly we just enjoyed relaxing and hanging out in the hammocks and chairs on the lawn or veranda looking at the water. In the evening we watched movies that we had brought with us. Patillas is definitely not a commercial or touristy area and we felt we were getting more local flavor than staying in a larger town. The setting at Casa Caribe could not have been more beautiful. The weather was perfect and everyone was happy. Thank you Irene for making sure we had everything we needed. Thank you Sherry for opening your home to people escaping the cold and snow.

Family fun in paradise!

We had a group of 8, four adults, four children. The house was a great size for our group, we were very comfortable and had all we needed to feel right at home. What a lovely setting, the kids had a blast on the beach, in the hammocks and of course, the water. We played, we barbecued, we ate out, we visited family in Caomo. For some of us, it was our first visit to this lovely island. It was great to learn about the people, see some of the region and have a beautiful home to enjoy it all! We even got to see the coconuts being cut down from trees next to the property. Thanks to Sherry and her assistant for making this a perfect place for a family vacation! We look forward to our next trip...

Great home Great beach and yard

We stayed at 2 of Sherry\'s properties as we had the whole family with us. Both homes are top of the line. This one was larger and very colorful with a lot of charm. Clean large rooms and very well appointed. Honestly this is the dream home right here. House has everything and back yard was the perfect picturesque views with plenty of room to sit and relax or have an evening meal. Hammocks tied to the coconut palms right at the beach. Cabana with bar and barbecue and porch with outdoor couch and chair and two tables for eating or playing cards was so nice. having the house next door with the pool made this the perfect getaway and we are already talking about going back next year. Thank you Sherry for making this booking so easy and getting our deposits back so quickly and thank you Irene for making us feel at home. A+ all the way. If you this home book it. Really these properties are in the best spot in Puerto Rico.

Perfection on the Sea 10 Star Rental

I stayed at this property last year with my family and we loved it. End of September I was in Puerto Rico at a business convention all week and had the weekend off. I gave Sherry a call to see if the house was available last minute as myself and three co-workers thought it would be great to get out of the city. She had three nights open and we took them. I had explained to my buds what a great place this was to them but when I walked in I was shocked with the changes in just a year. The house was completely remodeled with new furniture fresh paint and so much more. The master was updated with a king bed so we flipped a coin for it. I got the queen bed but it was the one that was in the master last year so all was good. Look the place is spectacular......really man this place is the spot. It was not fun going back to the city after a long weekend in that back yard laying on the hammock with a beer in hand. Swimming was great, bbq at night yeah hard to go back. And just so you know that hotel was one of the best in San Juan and cost more a night for one room than the house cost for the four of us. Great views but no balcony and No kitchen just a bed and a mini fridge I didn\'t dare open as it eats money Ha Ha !!!!! Anyway great place and I think I got Sherry some new customers because my friends want to bring their families next year. Thanks Sherry for the last minute rental. So glad you had it open. Was the highlight of my trip. I will be back!!!!!!!

Amazing!!!!

Our Family had an amazing time. We stayed for a week, It was an excellent home!!!! Best feeling in the world was enjoying our cups of coffee and enjoying that beautiful view of the Caribbean, while laying in one of the hammocks..lol The home was very clean and beautifully kept. Irene, the property manager, was excellent and very helpful. She went far and beyond to make our stay a wonderful one. We arrived at night and fully enjoyed the beautifully view of hermit crabs every where in the back yard, that was soo much fun, but waking up out first morning to that view, left us speechless, no words for that ..lol The beach is and back yard were pretty private which was wonderful. This was the first time our family stayed at this home and we all loved it very much and are looking forward to enjoying it again.!!! Well worth it !!!! Thank you Sherry!!!

A Dream Come True

I rented both properties next to each other for my honeymoon and flew a bunch of our friends down as a surprise for our stay in Patillas. Both houses were more gorgeous and accommodating then I could ever imagine. Sherry and Irene were both fantastic, and more than willing to help pull off the surprise. The only negative part of the trip was that the houses and location were so perfect, we didn\'t want to go anywhere else on the island! We will definitely book here again when we go back.

The BEST Vacation Paradise

First time in Puerto Rico and this house and this property was everything and more than we could have imagined. Good thing because it rained first 2 days. We stayed in and played cards on the porch. The sea was rough and choppy but the house was so charming, clean and comfortable. With rain we did not BBQ but I loved cooking in the kitchen. I am a bit of a germaphobe but it was very clean and bright and sink had a window above it that faced the sea. It had all appliances big and small, pots and pans and everything I needed to make some delicious meals on those rainy days. Bedrooms were so colorful and good size for the 8 of us plenty of room. Even crib and high chair for the baby. We made the best of it because the house was so wonderful. Franchesca was so helpful and brought us fish and blue crab. She said the rain would stop and it did :) The sea became like a lake and the sun shined through the palms. Loved the swimming and snorkeling right in the back yard. We BBQ�d evey night after that. The sun rises and sunsets were breathtaking from this property. And what a great island with so much to do. Thanks to Sherry who gave us all recommendations on tours. Went on East Island excursions and had the best time. Coming back to this house made for a perfect end of our day. Sherry is the best. Our booking was easy and we will definitely be back. This is the side of the island that truly is the most beautiful. This house is the one to stay in. It is an old tropical Spanish home! (We loved this about it) but impeccably well preserved and immaculately kept. We highly recommend this paradise on the sea.

Perfect Place to Stay!

My 6 girlfriends and I stayed at this property in April for a girls trip and we couldn\'t have been happier. The owner and housekeeper were fantastic and the property is amazing. The hammocks and patio provide the perfect place to hang with a cup of coffee in the morning and the gazebo was a lovely spot to grab an afternoon bite to eat. We had an amazing time - this place is perfect for a vacation to Puerto Rico. It was clean and comfortable. I\'d recommend this place to anyone looking for an amazing comfortable home to stay in for their trip.

What a awesome and memorable time we had at Casa Caribe Del Mar. First, Sherri (the owner of the property), is a champ. From the day we inquired about the property, Sherri has been extremely helpful, patient and informative. Whether it was about directions, shopping, local or tourist spots, Sherri was clear and spot on. She simply goes about her business in a very warm and professional manner. When we arrived we were greeted by Francesca. She is awesome. She showed us around the property, and let us know all the good stuff. Francesca is the local champ. We were a group of six. Two couples and two single guys. The place is so nice and relaxing on so many levels. The house was spotlessly clean. Everything was in place like a home should be. Anytime it was time to go it was hard to leave. Like a magnet we felt drawn to staying, and when we were gone we felt like we were being pulled back. We chilled on the hammocks, on the backyard floor, in the water, on the back porch, there are so many spots to hang out that are already designed to chill, that make it so amazing. The property does not seem like it was designed for any specific group, as it looks like any group of people can just settle in and will love it just s we did. It is in its own secluded area and right off the water, yet close enough (5 minutues) to hang out with the locals or whoever is in town. I strongly recommend this property, and truly want anyone considering staying here to know, that I am very glad that I have been fortunate enough to stay here. Number ONE Rental for 100 Reasons

We looked at so many beautiful houses on VRBO but if you read all reviews on each site a lot said house was not quite as clean or beach not really as nice as pictures looked etc and no video??? There should be a video on all properties these days. And I wondered why not on all these other properties. Some I did not get responses for days or owner was nice but did not speak very good English which was not easy for me. I wish I could speak Spanish but I am from Idaho. We decided on Casa Caribe Del Mar because of the video it really showed us what we were getting and great reviews. Sherry contacted me the same day I inquired. She spent time with me and was very informative. I knew after speaking with her this house was it. I will tell you we feel like we won the lottery! The house and location has all and more than even the video can express. Charm, character, color..... everything we could ask for and SPOTLESSLY clean. Irene (wonderful sweet girl) met us at arrival and as she walked us through the property it took my breath away with all the beauty inside and out. I want to say that what makes this house special is it is not a mansion with fancy furnishings I would be afraid my children might break. We wanted a home away from home and this house was a real true Caribbean home. Large yet homey. A perfect size for us in perfect condition in my opinion. Everything in every room well maintained and cared for. We felt so comfortable there. The back yard against the beachfront was amazing for our children. They ran outside in the in such excitement to the grass under the Palms and played at the water edge the minute they got there. It was such a joy to see them do that. At night the whole back yard and Cabana light up under those Palms...Incredible. Sherry told us that there was a nest in the yard against the fence that the same sea turtle comes and lays her eggs every year and be careful not to walk on it. It was lined with coral so we knew where not to walk. We were amazed by just this but guess what? My children got to see the baby sea turtles hatch in early evening and walk to the sea on our third day there. AMAZING EXPERIENCE ONCE IN A LIFE TIME TO SEE THIS WONDER OF NATURE UNFOLD BEFORE OUR EYES. All the rest you have probably already read in Sherry\'s other reviews I will say is right on the money. A lovely time being together with family during the holiday season

As I sit here braving the severely negative temps of the coldest Midwest winter in memory, it is hard to believe just a few short weeks ago I was with my family soaking up sun, sand, warm water and making great memories. We found this lovely gem and I can honestly say it was a fantastic experience. From the beginning, Sherry was more than helpful with making the reservation, and giving us tons of helpful advice for our stay at her property. I never had a minutes trouble getting in touch with her through email or by phone. She is professional and has great tips. Her on site manager Irene was extremely helpful, professional and willing to do whatever you need while staying in the house. I was pretty much in charge of planning this trip and these two ladies made the whole process as simple as can be. I thank them both very much for being so wonderful! In total there were 8 of us. My husband and myself, my parents, my brother and sister in law and my two nieces 13 and 11. My husband and I travel extensively all over the world and we loved the idea of relaxing in a beach house for the week and taking a break from the hard core travelling that we are accustomed to. We absolutely loved the house. It was clean and comfortable. Waking up every morning to the ocean right outside the back door was such a wonderful experience. The back yard is absolutely gorgeous and well maintained by an excellent professional gardening staff. There is so much to do in Puerto Rico and we enjoyed it very much. We found the people to be friendly and hospitable, the food to be delicious and the views are breath taking. We loved going on adventures during the day only to get back to our beach house for sunset and drinks and snacks on the beach. We also spent a few days around the house enjoying the yard and beach. It was the perfect place to call home for a week. I recommend Casa Caribe del Mar for anyone who wants to spend a week in paradise making precious memories with friends and/or family. We all had a great time and would definitely return! Don\'t hesitate on this rental!

Beautiful home, wonderful vacation

We visited Sherry\'s home over the Thanksgiving holiday. We were 4 adults and 3 children, and there was more than enough room. The house is exactly as it is represented: well-cared-for, directly on the beach, and relatively secluded. It is obvious the house is more than just a rental property to the owners; it\'s a place they care for and visit regularly. That shows. The property manager, Irene, was very helpful. She was able to answer all questions immediately, and she made us three restaurant recommendations (one of which was walkable down the beach, west of the house, called Lordemar), all of which were excellent. The booking process was very simple, the directions to the house were easy to follow, and the vacation was wonderful. It was unusually rainy while we were there, and we loved it -- it\'s amazing to swim in the ocean in a passing rainstorm, and we saw more than a few rainbows over our stay. We also went on a boat/snorkeling trip to Icacos, great fun. We meant to hit another beach a little west of Patillas, but we couldn\'t pull ourselves away from the house. On days without much wind, the snorkeling was excellent. The beach itself was full of sand crabs and hermit crabs, pelicans and other birds, interesting shells and sea glass. We had a wonderful time.

Awesome Place

We came to PR with family, to see family. This vacation rental worked out perfectly. We ended up cooking a huge meal for our entire group (some staying elsewhere) and having an amazing time cooking, swimming, playing and partying at this spectacular location. The house and grounds are just perfect. We went to both nearby grocery stores which were both convenient (the one in Arroyo is much larger). Being a bit out of the way (a huge plus for us) meant that restaurant choices were fairly slim. Having Puerto Ricans in the family and getting home cooked PR food often, we found the nearby restaurants adequate, but we also went over to Ponce and had a meal at an \"elegant\" restaurant that was not much better. I would happily stay here again. Life in the hammocks was wonderful! Thanks Sherry!

Beautiful home just like in the pictures .clean

We are a family of 11 people 4 adults and 7 children all under the age of nine at the time .The house had room for all of us and we had plenty of space .the first week that we were there we stayed at the house enjoying the beach the house and the neighbors .My mom and I took a long walk together we met and spoke to a lot of friendly people in the aerea .It was easy for us since my mom was born in the island but it was our first time here .We\"ve done a lot of traveling since we\'re an army family .We will never forget our trip to puerto Rico and our stay at casa caribe del mar ,we had such a wonderful time ,we hated to leave when the time came .the lady incharge of the grounds was friendly helpful and friendly.We loved the private beach the children went out looking for sea glass they saw a huge turtle come to shore to lay eggs they where all safe at the beach ,we even had fish cooked at the house that we got from our friendly grounds keeper .Thank_you sherry for lending us your home for our stay in the island .We\'re planing another trip there and this is the place that we want to stay in .we\"ve been staying at base for the last two years since we were there and we are dreaming of our next stay here .

Amazing View

Just came back from Puerto Rico. We stayed at del Sol and del Mar next door which is great for a large group (8). First Sherry was amazing to deal with. This house was everything she said and more. Irene the property manager is a true gem. Both houses were EXTREMELY clean and well maintained. Patillas is quiet and laid back but the people are extremely friendly. We loved talking to the people and the neighbors to the right brought us fresh mangos and bananas as did Irene. She even drove us to the best bakery in the town of Patillas. We did have a car to drive where we wanted. Activites we tried were the biobay, wave boats with snokerling, horseback riding, deep sea fishing, and the Hilton casino in Ponce. DONT USE Yunke Zipling: rude, rude, rude. Thanks again Sherry for sharing your houses.

Fantastic Vacation Location

Casa Caribe Del Mar is just as advertised, but maybe better. Right on the bueatiful Caribbean, your view of the sea framed by palm trees, a clean and wonderful home, with both local and owner support. Five stars is not enough. Our group of 8 enjoyed the island but we all agreed that staying \"home\" on the beach was the best.

Beautiful!

Casa Caribe Del Mar is a beautiful, well maintained property. It is wonderful to sit in the hammocks and watch the world go by while you relax, and if you don\'t want to do that, there are many activities within an hour of the home. We went up \"Pork Road\" and sampled the world class roasted pork, hiked in the rain forest, went sailing and snorkeling on a catamaran, toured Old San Juan, and some of the group even kayaked to the biolumenscent bay during the week we were there. It was a little windy while we were there and while we weren\'t able to do a lot of snorkeling in back of the house, but the moonlight walks on the beach were awesome! We found a little park and beach out of the wind within 10 minutes of the house and were able to do a lot of swimming/snorkeling/shell gathering there. The property manager, Irene, was so great to help us with anything we wanted or needed to know...she even got some fresh red snapper for us!
