Description

Tranquility Hill Bonefish Lodge sits atop a low hill near Behring Point, overlooking the eastern entrance to the North Bight, between North and South Andros Islands, Bahamas.

It is here that the legendary Ivan Neymour, one of the pioneers of bonefish on a fly, guided for over 40 years, and here that the Mackey and Neymour families have been welcoming anglers with island hospitality and world-class bonefishing since 1996.

Tranquility’s hilltop location not only offers a panoramic view across the bight, with wading flats directly in front of the lodge, but also gives anglers easy access to hundreds of square miles of spectacular sand flats, mangrove cays, sheltered bays and winding creeks, all teeming with bonefish.

At Tranquility Hill our motto—“We Aim to Please”—is not just a slogan but our commitment to quality service and our desire to provide an experience that exceeds your expectations. We are family owned and operated and proud of our long tradition of welcoming anglers from all over the world.

Tranquility can comfortably accommodate 15 guests for any length of stay. We have five spacious, newly refurbished,  deluxe double rooms with satellite T.V., private bath, air conditioning and refrigerator.

We also have a newly constructed Cottage accommodation for families or friends, with an air of privacy and seclusion.  Guests will be able to prepare their own meals in the kitchenette and plan their activities at their leisure.

At the end of each day of fishing the social life at the Lodge centers around the bar. Anglers and guides gather to enjoy drinks and hors d’oeuvres, tell stories about their day, follow the news or sports on satellite TV, or just watch the sun set over the North Bight. The bar operates on a self-serve honor system and is well stocked with a variety of brand-name liquors and Bahamian Kalik beer.

Breakfast and dinner are served family-style in the Lodge dining room. Dinner is one of the highlights of the day. Chef Kora Taylor (one of Ivan Neymour’s daughters) prepares a variety of authentic Bahamian meals, including locally caught seafood (lobster, cracked conch, grouper, snapper and mahi-mahi), barbecued chicken and ribs, and steaks accompanied by Bahamian specialties such as homemade Johnny Cake and conch chowder.

Amazing!

Andros is usually associated with bonefish, but I was surprised at the diversity of fishing opportunities that Tranquility Hill has to offer. Flats back country creeks, and inland salt water lakes all teeming with a variety of fish ready to eat a fly

Beautiful property

I keep tying other locations but I always come back to Tranquility. Theres just no other place that offers so much variety, such great Guides, and so many shots of big fish

Wonderful Home!

This is one of our favourite places in the world to go bonefishing, and staying at Tranquility Hill is like our second home. The Neymour and Mackey families are wonderful hosts

Great place!

Maybe it was the day, or the tide, or the time of year, who knows.Nevertheless, in my life, I have never fished a place with such ravenous Tarpon..

Excellent

I never get tire of Koras fabulous meals. They are simple and fresh good, clean Bahamian cooking. And Kora believes in desserts essential fare after eight hours of hunting bones
