About OwnerWe are originally from Minnesota, but now reside in Florida. From the many Caribbean islands we visited off cruise ships we chose Grand Cayman to return to with our children for a family vacation. It was absolutely fantastic! The sun, the rolling sand beach, the pools, the crystal clear water, the snorkeling, the diving, the sunsets, the people----we fell in love. We bought our vacation home at Sunset Cove in 1995 and have spent many vacations here with family and friends, as well a sharing our piece of paradise with others.Owner purchased this Condo in 1995Why Owner chose George TownSunset Cove and our Condo are unique. We have the only protective cove on 7 Mile Beach----absolutely fantastic for children! Our Condo Complex has the amenities of resort, yet the privacy of your own condo. This is a lovely and well-maintained ground floor condo within 50 yards of the beach and 15 yards from the pool. My parents (in their mid-80s) were able to enjoy easy access to both pool and beach, and we were all able to come and go easily. In spite of being so close to the pool, the unit was remarkably quiet. This turned out to be a great place for us to stay for a week -- with fewer people and a more relaxed atmosphere than at some of the fancier hotels farther north on Seven Mile Beach. At least during our visit, the other guests were mostly family groups and couples. We found it useful to have a car, which gave us access to more of the island, and we shopped for groceries and cooked all our own meals, because it was easier for my parents. The kitchen has all the equipment you would need. Pat and Mike were great sources of information and provided lots of advice. Both bedrooms were comfortable. The beach has access to a protected cove, and there is good snorkeling inside the cove for those with limited experience. Just beyond the cove there are some beautiful reefs. My wife and I had done very little snorkeling previously and were amazed at the diversity of fish that we could see. There are more famous spots for snorkeling at other parts of the island, but for beginners, this location offered plenty. We would certainly recommend this condo for anyone looking for a quiet and comfortable spot with easy acess to anything on the island.
We loved every second of our stay in #120 at Sunset Cove! Our 20 month old was right at home from the second we arrived with the pack n play, high chair and toys. The condo has literally everything you need, we never felt like we needed to ask for anything because it is all here! We hope to be back again sometime very soon! Thank you for sharing your condo with us.
I chose this condo for my mom and I because it is on the first floor, no stairs and it\'s right on the beach with a cove that\'s perfect for swimming and snorkeling. AND the pool is right out your patio door which is perfect for families with young kids but we enjoyed it just as much at 56 and 87. We walked into town about 3 miles but could\'ve taken the bus at any time. The driver just honks his horn and you raise your hand if you want him to stop We brought as much food and beverage with us since the cost of pretty much everything is high and the beer/ liquor is even higher. The grocery store is only a mile away which we walk to. The kitchen is equipped with everything you need for cooking. Salt and pepper some spices and leftover coffee to get you by but whatever needs to be refrigerated you need to purchase, The refridgerator will be empty when you arrive. The swim up pool bar & restaurant is so convenient but we chose to eat breakfast and lunch at the condo and went out to dinner every night. You do not need a rental car unless you\'d like to see the entire island then definitely rent one. We heard you can get a car for about $21 a day. Tour of Stingray city is a must, and if you have your own snorkeling equipment bring it, you can snorkel right at your own beach! Email and phone conversations with Patricia and Mike were seemless. They are top notch owners and fellow Minnesotans that take pride in what they own and rent! I can\'t say enough about how much we enjoyed going back to Cayman Island after 30 years. We would definitely rent this condo again and HIGHLY RECOMMEND it to others. HAVE FUN ?????????? Donna and Peggy MN
the condo was beautiful and location was great. can walk to store and resorts for happy hour or entertainment. my husband and i love the fact you could snorkel in cove in front of condo complex. we saw so many fish. great having access to two pools and having alternate transportation if you couldnt walk there. we are definetly going back sincerely steve and cathy siddall harbert michigan
This was a lovely condo, with new appliances and everything you need to prepare meals. Although we didn\'t cook much because there were so many good restaurants within walking distance. It was nice to have food and drink service (from Margaritaville) at the pool and beach - most condo places don\'t have that luxury. The information about the condo and the island - what to do, where to eat, etc. was very helpful in making decisions about activities - what great hosts!
