Description

Self contained 550 sq.ft. studio with high ceilings has a 9 ft. wide doorway has louvered folding doors opening onto its 20 ft. long deep shaded private veranda, removing barriers between inside and outside living. Lie on your super King size 4 poster bed and look out!  Each part of Two Bays accommodation is designed to be private and not overlooked. 
 
For self-catering it has a fully equipped kitchen and all appliances; including an oven with grill, microwave, coffee-maker,  blender, kettle, toaster and large fridge-freezer - right down to the garlic crusher & salad spinner. The bathroom is en-suite with shower and wall-mounted hair-dryer. All furniture and external fittings are finished in hardwood.
 
The veranda with swing seats looks out towards Cabier Beach 100 yards away and inland towards the rain forest. The rear garden and sun terrace with an infinity pool overlooking Crochu Bay is for Two Bays guests only.

We had a great time saying in a studio in Cabier.


Idyllic setting, just what we wanted and fully lived up to our expectations. Service was excellent, accommodation clean and comfortable, and staff very friendly. Provided an excellent base away from the bustle of the South East coast from which to explore Grenada. Strongly recommend Cabier to anyone looking for a little bit of paradise.

Unique and stylish Plantation House apartments


Another wonderful holiday in Cabier – my first time in summer and I cannot think why this is low season – everything is so green and the water so warm. The “rainy season” was a couple of spectacular night rainstorms that drummed on the roof and then just washed the world clean. I stayed in one of the immaculate Two Bays Studios, with friends occupying the rest of this lovely Plantation style house. The constant sea breeze circulates through the open shutters from the verandah and one seldom needs the airconditioning. The sound of the restless ocean lulled me to sleep and the tiny birds woke me up ! We went to local markets, cooked when we felt like it and wandered down to Ocean Lodge’s friendly restaurant for dinner when we didn’t ! Florence now cooks at Ocean Lodge and a very fine chef she is – her calaloo soup is definitive and she is endlessly inventive with local ingredients. We enjoyed Janet’s soothing massage treatments on the verandah and watched the Egrets, Pelicans and Frigate Birds performing their evening ballet as we leaned on the edge of the infinity pool looking out to sea, rum punch in hand. Roll on next time !

Peace and tranquility in a comfortable environment


We have just returned from a 10 day rental, during which we stayed at both Bayside and Beachside studios, and we had a wonderful time. The studios are both large and airy with great verandas for just chilling out, with lovely views. The infinity pool is a delight and was very refreshing to use. The studios are very clean and well-equipped and we lacked for nothing. The only thing we would suggest is an occasional table on the veranda of Bayside, although there is one on Beachside. A car is essential for exploring the rest of the island. The restaurant at Cabier is wonderful, and Bruno, the French chef can create wonders, with a Creole twist. We had lobster twice, but that was the only meal that was duplicated. We never, ever eat at the same restaurant twice when away on holiday, either self-catering or varying the restaurant, but this time we broke our golden rule as the meals were so good and convenient. Iris makes some pretty mean cocktails too! We had a week of lovely weather, but the last couple of days were wet and windy, more so than the normal shower, but then again, Hurricane Otto was tearing through Costa Rica and Nicaragua at the time - and at one point we had considered going to Costa Rice. We can heartily recommend staying at Cabier. Nick Hamilton, the owner was very easy-going and the whole booking process was very simple. Grenada is not particularly touristy, which merely adds to its charm. Just go and soak it all up. As soon as we were home, we just wanted to get back on the plane and go back to Cabier!

Restorative and Real


We\'ve been to other islands. Our last time visiting Jamaica was pleasant but lacking. For years we visited a remote resort in Brazil but stopped going when airfare went through the roof. So we were pleasantly surprised when we visited Grenada, a island that is very much off the radar of development. We stayed in the Villa and were fairly certain it would be very nice from all the positive reviews. And it was!!! It was spacious and lovely and the views from the wraparound terrace are stunning. The infinity pool is well tended and delightful It was a plus to have the staff and services of the lodge available to us. The food at Bruno\'s was excellent and Iris and Bruno and their excellent servers were outstandingly attentive. I have a moderate gluten intolerance, and they went out of their way to accommodate me. Have the roti at lunch, it is delicious and authentic. The French dishes at night were excellent. If you want to self cater, make sure you stock up before you go up to Crochu. There are grocery stores but you cannot walk to them. Cabier will pick up things you need if you ask but it has to be when they are going to the store already. This makes sense as they are a small hotel but are working hard to take care of everyone\'s needs. So you might have to wait a few hours or until the next day. But as with everything they do, they are extremely gracious. Fresh fruit is surpringly difficult to get at the small supermarket s in the country. Next time I plan on asking the taxi driver to take us to one of the fancier markets in St George and perhaps to a fruit stand. BTW, the taxi drivers Keith and Jaipal (brothers) are lovely people and also give tours. The beach is beautiful but wild. Unlike the southern end of the island the water is cool ( not warm) but refreshing. Some guests swim, some just sit on the beach and look out at the amazing view. We swam everyday, for hours. But Grenada is not a fancy amenity driven resort island. ( outside of St George) It is an island where people work and send their kids to school and to church. Outside of St George, you will find small guest houses and local restaurant s with authentic homestyle cooking. (Bruno\'s is a shining exception). People are still recovering from Ivan which decimated the island twelve years ago. But if you are looking for real loveliness, people, scenery and experiences, Grenada is a place you will want to visit, maybe more than once. My husband and I are planning a return visit

Sheer Luxury


S“Great place - great people” Cabier Ocean Lodge This was a wonderful trip. We stayed in one of the Two Bays studios, which overlooks two beautiful bays. It\'s a really elegant villa and it looks as if no expense has been spared inside and out, so we felt cossetted from the start. We mainly ate in the hotel, which had jolly good food, and a fun atmosphere. The beach under the hotel has clean silver sand and lapping waves with tethered cows behind it! You will probably need to hire a car, as the place is really away from the crowds, but it\'s not a large island and you will want to explore it. A place you will want to return to - and we are! We\'ve booked to go back next year.
