Location, Location, Location.  Centrally located home close to it all in Mount Dora.  This 2 bedroom/2 bath home has been remolded to provide you with the comforts of home. Room provided to park your boat, large or small.
 
You can't come to Mount Dora without going into town to shop, dine or enjoy the night life.  Enjoy an easy 7-10 minute walk into town where no car is necessary.  
 
This beautiful house offers a stunning living room that contains a fireplace, recliner, chairs, couch and 32” LCD TV. The separate dining room hosts a table that can seat 6.  
 
Step outside to one of the three porches. The house boast a front screened porch, a side sun porch that has a table with 4 chairs and a back porch that has a screened in gazebo where you can grill-out on the BBQ grill while relaxing on the patio which includes a table, couch and chairs.
 
The updated kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, stove, refrigerator, and microwave. Enjoy breakfast at the bar or on one of the porches.
 
The master bedroom includes a queen size bed, dressers and TV.  The second bedroom includes a queen bed, dresser, TV and attached bathroom.  
 
Although the house does not have a third bedroom , it does have a nice size loft equipped with a trundle bed that sleeps 2.  The loft also contains a love seat, chairs and TV.
 
Dogs under 15 pounds are welcome. Pet fee is $50 per dog. Sorry no cats.

Although we use to live in Orlando, we always wanted to move to Mt. Dora. With the purchase of a vacation home (Park Cottage) in 2011 and visiting the town on the weekends we soon decided to move to this delightful little town in 2012. With that move came another house for us to renovate, (Beehive Cottage) then about a year later we purchased our third home (Rocking Chair Cottage). Although Mt Dora has a small town feel, that has been frozen in time, within 2 miles from the heart of town are all the modern restaurants, grocery stores and shops. We love to visit the light house for Sunset and its always so nice to be able to walk into town and not have to worry about parking. We now live just a mile from all of our beautiful homes and are available for any assistance you may need.We love to shop and dine in downtown Mt Dora and it wouldnt be unusual to run into us if your there. Dont hesitate to contact us for the best kept secrets of town.Wendy Appleby purchased this House in 2013

Exceptional rental!


From the moment we first saw it, my family and I fell in love with the yellow cottage with the beautiful poplar trees out front. This feeling was reinforced when we stepped inside. Its the little details that make house a home, and Beehive Cottage had a plethora of themfrom the rockers on the front porch (my father and my husband spent many an hour there!) to the lovely antique decor and well-appointed modern kitchen. The house was very clean. The beds and abundant seating were very comfortablea fact that we truly appreciated as my parents are elderly. The pantry was well-stocked with every spice and condiment we could need, and then some! In short, we were utterly charmed with the cottage! And even our pets enjoyed their stay. (Thank you, Wendy, for the doggie treatswe forgot to bring our own!). To conclude: this was the warmest, most welcoming vacation rental we have ever stayed in, and we highly recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in historic Mount Dora.

Best Place in Town


Loved our stay in this quaint cottage!!! Nicest VRBO we have ever stayed in and we have stayed in many. The house had everything we needed plus more. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and the short walks into town each day. We will definitely be back!!! Thank you Wendy and Tim for being so accommodating.
