The charming Charlotte Burleigh House was built in 1893, and completely renovated in 2018. Located in the heart of Newport, we're within walking distance of all that downtown has to offer: restaurants, shopping, sightseeing, harbor tours, and fantastic nightlife. For those looking to branch out, we're also minutes away from the beaches, Newport Tennis Hall of Fame, the glorious Bellevue Mansions, Historic Washington Square, Museums, and the Jane Pickens Theater. This home combines old world splender with modern ammenities and a gourmet kitchen. We have a living / dining / kitchen area, we call "The Great Room." This area is ideal for inside entertaining. The kitchen has a five burner gas stove top grill and electric double ovens. A large stainless steel fridge with freezer and ice maker. Dishwasher, coffee maker, toaster, are all included. All of the plates, utensils, glasses, cups, pots and pans you need to serve gourmet meals for a large gathering. The dining table seats 10 and two more on the center island. If you prefer to dine outdoors, there is a stunning 2nd floor patio/deck with tables and chairs for 15+ people. There is a propane BBQ grill on the deck and a fantastic 2nd floor kitchenette with refrigerator, sink and stove top. The 2nd floor deck looks down on Spring Street and is set up as an ecclectic garden. If you choose to entertain inside or out (or both), this home is equipped for larger gatherings and serious entertaining.
There are three large elegant bedrooms, all with queen sized beds and smart TVs. The 1st floor bedroom has a small sitting area with a full sized sofa/bed. The Great Room also has a queen size sofa/bed. There are two large full bathrooms on the 2nd floor and a half bathroom on the 1st floor. We have high speed internet and wireless service throughout the house. There is even a dedicated space so that you can work (if you must). The Great Room is equipped with an Amazon Alexa/Sonos system. You can play your favorite music while entertaining or relaxing in front of the gas fired fireplace. All TVs are equipped with either cable, Amazon Fire Stick, or DVD players. We have two parking spaces down the block and a Newport guest parking pass,. If you are planning a grand feast for 15 to 20 people, or a quiet stay just to walk around Newport, the Charlotte Burleigh House is for you!
