This authentic log cabin resides on 3 acres of Chickamauga creek front! Step back in time in this lovely log home, which offers an eclectic combination of tasteful antiques and modern conveniences. You will be welcomed by our wood carved bear and her cub on the front porch and of course a rocking chair. Flat screens, satellite TV's in every room, wireless internet,and free long distance phone calls offer a connection to the outside world while escaping to a place that stands still in time.
 
Beautiful wrap around porch offers views of the creek and local wild-life. Relax soaking in the hot tub under the stars. ( Our hot tub is drained, cleaned and treated before each and every guest arrival:) Screened porch has rocking chairs and a daybed for quiet naps. A fire pit on the creek with picnic tables allows you to enjoy the creek view even on chilly nights and neighbors a twinkle lighted gazebo and a double swing for cozy conversations. A pathway on the property leads you to a small island in the creek which offers a picnic table for intimate picnics. Large tubes are provided seasonally to fully enjoy the creek. Walk the creek past the island to the waterfall approx. 1/2 mile walk west and enjoy nature's beauty along the way. Access to our creekfront private property across the street which also has picnic tables and offers a safe place to walk pets. (Please clean up after pets) Also creek front and visit our Hillbilly Bridge.
 
One King bedroom and one Queen bedroom and one full bath on the main floor offers easy access for those having difficulty with stairs. Main floor offers an open fully equipped kitchen for making family meals. Large master king bedroom suite on second floor offers an executive desk work area for those who are on a working vacation and plenty of room for a baby crib which we have on property! Loft area has a comfy futon that will sleep two. Finished basement offers a fold out sleeper for two and is home to a full size Pool table and Foos ball table.
 
Main floor is a large open living area, dining room and kitchen and is home to an old fashion stand up shuffleboard/bowling table which allows all ages to join in a family game that needs no exact skill. Also a game table on the main floor offers a place to put together puzzles, play cards, checkers and chess. This drop leaf table opens to allow additional seating for large family dinners or a buffet in addition to the dining room table which seats 8 and a bar area that seats 4. A high chair is also included in the dining area for the newest additions to your family. A large warm morning stove sits in the middle of the living area and allows you to enjoy a warm fire ambiance. Double glass doors offer access to the screen porch which also has table seating area for outdoor dining. Breath in the fresh mountain air, marvel at the many humming birds and butterflies in the summer. Chase lightning bugs in the back yard. Sip wine from one of our many local wineries and star gaze from the outdoor hot tub. Pan for gold in the creek. Play horseshoes in back yard.
 
This cabin is beautifully decorated for Christmas from Thanksgiving to Jan 10th. for making.

Pets are not permitted on beds or furnishings. Pets must be crated when left alone in cabin. Pets must be leashed when outside. All pet debris must be removed prior to guest departure. Pet fee is $100 per pet. Failure to report pets or failure to obey house rules may result in loss of Security Deposit.

First off....pictures do this cabin not justice at all. We have rented different cabins every year in the Georgia/NC/Tenn area for the past 10 years. We have stayed in mountains, on lakes, by waterfalls...My wife wanted to stay near Helen this year. I was kinda sad that there werent any \"mountains\" here. Came across this cabin and my wife liked the idea of a creek for the kids to play near. I felt \"eh\" and booked it. Once we got there and I saw the place, it quickly became my favorite cabin we have ever stayed. It was my wife, 3 kids and I, my college roommate his wife and 2 kids and my mother in law. The place had plenty of space for the 10 of us. The kids loved the shuffleboard. If you like food and shopping, Helen is 15 minutes away and is a VERY unique town with great German food. We hiked 2 amazing waterfalls (10 minutes and 20 minutes) and hiked up a local mountain (Yonah) which was a great workout and incredible views. A winery is also close by. The grocery store in Helen is cute, buy EXPENSIVE. There is a cheaper option about 10 minutes outside of Helen. There havent been too many times I really thought I would ever book the same cabin again. They were great but nothing magical. I would not hesitate to come back here. Between the close attractions, and the AMAZING cabin...you really arent left wanting more. Just set aside a day to spend outside by the creek and fire-pit.

We loved it!


My Fiance and I went up there with two other couples to celebrate our friends birthday and we had a wonderful experience. the photos do not do this house any justice! It\'s absolutely beautiful and has so many things to offer! Don\'t miss out on this hidden gem! the 6 of us have already decided to make this trip a yearly thing and we will most defiantly be returning to this house! Thank you Jeff and Debra for making this a wonderful weekend!

The cabin is spacious and beautiful. There is clearly pride and great care taken in this home. The owners were tremendously helpful and even mailed our computer to us after we left it at the cabin. We could not have been more pleased! This cabin, its location, which is near to so many sites and its owners come with the highest recommendation.

Absolutely PERFECT!!!


We took the children and grandchildren for our 2nd annual Christmas getaway to the mountains. We could not have asked for a more perfect place! The home is so warm and inviting the second you enter the front door. It was beautifully decorated for Christmas and there was even Christmas music playing for us when we walked in. It was also very thoughtful for the owner to call and check on us to make sure we had everything we needed. What a special personal touch! The family voted unanimously that they want to return here next year. Thanks for the wonderful Christmas memories!!!
