Looking for a getaway at the top of a mountain, in the middle of a forest, but close to lots of fun and interesting things to do? Our sweet cabin is the place! Located in Balsam Grove, a community in Pisgah Forest in Western North Carolina, we brag about the 200+ waterfalls in our own Transylvania County...The Land of Waterfalls! This two bedroom/1 bath, open floor plan is situated just below Bald Rock, minutes from beautiful waterfalls and hiking trails, a short trip into Brevard, Lake Toxaway, Asheville and Hendersonville and in the heart of a lush rain forest. We are approximately 6 miles from the Pisgah Astronomical Research Institute.
 
And, if it snows while you're here, you'll stay warm and cozy using either the central heat or the rustic wood stove. Enjoy endless photo opportunities walking thru native wildflowers, along the creek beds, past the old mica mine that's on the property! The Blue Ridge Parkway is only 12 miles away there are so many incredible views to take in.
 
While you're here, you can purchase fresh eggs laid by our very own chickens, or honey from our awesome bees.
 
You will be totally disconnected, except for a TV w/an antenna. Unless you have super power reception or one of those microchips, you'll have no internet or phone reception at the house. This is good.
