Nine unique suites, a full staff and access to several waterfalls on the 36-acre of dramatic landscape covered in thick forest plunging down to a sandy coastline of deserted beaches and quiet coves. Within the incredibly lush and green jungles of the Southern Pacific Whales Coast of Costa Rica, Villa Mareas is a sanctuary of its own. The nine-suite estate is 18,000 square feet and sits on 36 acres of pristine rainforest and offers trails to waterfalls and expansive views of the Pacific Ocean.
 
Enjoy the wild life that surrounds Villa Mareas with over 400 acres of dedicated wild life sanctuary home to several troops of monkeys and exotic birds. Stroll through the gardens take in the Kaleidoscope of tropical flowers, or check out our resident sloth from your terrace.

The Estate features a spa, yoga platform, one bar, large open dining areas, 1.700 square feet infinity-edge swimming pool surfaced entirely in blue iridescent glass tile and many terraces.

In addition to the experience, Villa Mareas offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner for an additional price. Villa Mareas chef will hand craft every exceptional meal during your stay. Tim’s expertise is combined with a culinary creativity that results in varietal, organic, specialize and local gourmet cuisine.
 
Special diets and detox plans are happily honored. Tim is happy to create menus that will be unique and distinctive each night of the stay and he is equally enthusiastic about working with the guest to cater to their individual tastes.

Wonderful Wedding


Villa Mareas is one of a kind. When searching for wedding venues, I was looking for somewhere that was large enough to house most of my guest and have the beauty and space to have wedding and reception. When we found Villa Mareas we knew it was the place. The next search was for a wedding coordinator and we truly lucked out when we realized Pilar and Tim the owners had this experience. This made the planning portion so easy. I told Pilar my vision and she went above and beyond. All of the flowers, little details I added, DJ, Hair/Makeup etc were all lined up. The day of the wedding was flawless. I did not have to worry about anything at all. Seriously, everything went perfect. If you are looking for a destination wedding in Costa Rica, this is the place. The villa has plenty of rooms and privacy for all. Thank you Pilar and Tim for a wonderful stay. Our guest are still talking about how wonderful the food was Tim prepared.

I can't wait to go back


Words cannot truly do Mareas Villas justice. The sights, the sounds, the flavors... Nothing compares in my travels so far. Our room was beautiful, spacious, and it was unreal falling asleep to the rain as well as the sounds of the jungle. The grounds are beautiful and make for amazing hikes to the waterfalls. All along the way there is plenty of wildlife to see - whether it\'s various types of monkeys, toucans, and parrots or the unique plants of the jungle including delicious fruits growing right there. The pool/spa are a spectacular sight and a perfect place to relax if you want to have a lazy day. You can count on Tim to serve up some of the freshest, most delicious meals and Pilar to make sure you you get the full experience of what Costa Rica has to offer. Thanks to her we went zip lining, white water rafting, and (my favorite) the mangrove tour. They have carved out a truly unique slice of paradise that has left me already planning my next trip down there.

Best trip ever!


My boyfriend and I had been wanting to go to Costa Rica for years and I\'m so glad we chose Mareas for our stay! The resort itself is so beautiful and secluded from everything. There are amazing hiking trials and the common area/pool area has a great ocean view. The room we had was on the second floor and had the most beautiful ocean view and tons of windows that got great views of the thunderstorms at night. The outdoor shower was also a plus! Tim and Pilar are such great hosts-they will do anything they can to make your experience one you\'ll never forget. They helped us set up 3 different excursions and know all the best local places to eat. And Tim is an amazing chef-take advantage of his cooking! When we go back to Costa Rica, this is the only place we\'ll want to stay at.

Amazing property. With a large enoiugh group to fill the rooms, it is a great value!


I recently stayed here for 1 week on group retreat. I enjoyed pretty much every detail the house and property had to offer, including short hikes to 2 private water falls, and even lounging in the room, common areas, and especially the pool area with spectacular \"too good to be true\" views of the amazing jungle and Pacific ocean. The stars at night combined with distant thunderstorms over the ocean created the amazing effects and I will never forget the near garden of eden type of setting. I am looking forward to coming back to the property with another retreat in the future. I wish I could bring my wife to stay here, but since usually rent the whole villa , it would be more practical if there were at least 10 or more people in your group. Truly a perfect place for a group retreat or family gatherings.

Since you get to Costa Rica you can feel the positive vibe and warmness of their people and beautiful landscapes. The road and the places yoy can stop on the way to the villas are totally the irie vibe also very recommended. As soonas you get to thevillas your whole system changes and the wonders of the place start to come into your sight since the jurassic park kind of car door through the entrance of this beautiful and amazing mansion for groups of 26 people in all 9 incredible rooms with views and perfect commodities that youll get shocked.
