Description

Turtle Crossing is a large 2,700 sq. ft. three bedroom, three bath villa seventy five feet from the beautiful Caribbean. The villa is made for relaxation with large bedrooms, each with a seating area allowing one to withdraw comfortably for rest or reading. There is a large fully equipped kitchen. The bathrooms are large with two having two lavatories. One bathroom has an oversize jacuzzi-equipped tub with shower. Another is tub and shower, and the third being shower only.

There is a dining area with a large table and chairs. There is an entertainment area with TV, comfortable sofas, a large reading library, games, DVD's and even some classic VCR's. Another seating area overlooks through sliding glass doors the veranda and the sea. The veranda is fifty feet long equipped with table and chairs, ideal for a morning breakfast as you watch the sun come up, for evening cocktails with snacks or for any meal, bridge or whatever. Farther along the veranda there are lounges and chairs with ottomans. Just off of the veranda is a gas grill built into a concrete and stone counter surrounded by bar seating. About 50 feet from the water, it is a wonderful place for cocktails at sunset or just for the family to gather around. The kids can watch Pops burn the hamburgers. Thirty feet from there is the owners' tiled fresh water swimming pool which is available to our renters.

It is difficult to mention all of the amenities. Of course there are washer and dryer as well as WIFI throughout the house. The lower floor bedrooms have walk in closets and king size beds. The upstairs bedroom has two single beds that can be made up together as a king if desired. Outside, around the corner from the veranda, there are facilities for rinsing and drying dive equipment. There are two bicycles for the athletic and adventurous. A card table is available. The owners have tried to do everything possible to provide the means for guests to have a memorable and relaxing vacation experience.

I am Dr. William Nelms, a retired physician. My wife and I live on Cayman Brac. In1997 my wife and I and my daughter, Kathy, and son-in-law, Dennis Rose, purchased land on the island and built a vacation home. Turtles occasionally came up on the beach and Cayman was very interested in protecting and cultivating turtles so we decided on the name Turtle Crossing for the house. We had been coming to Grand Cayman and, later, Cayman Brac for many years for diving and relaxation and we fell in love with the Brac, as I think you will if you decide to visit..When I retired several years later my wife and I decided to build a permanent home adjacent to TC. We moved in and have been very happy for a little over fifteen years.During that time we did vacation rentals for about three years but then decided to use the house just for guests and family; however as you can see we are returning it to the rental market. We have a fondness for TC and hope our visitors will enjoy it as much as we have over the years.William Nelms purchased this villa in 1997

Great long weekend.

We stayed here for a long weekend and it was perfect. The owners are attentive and house is fully equipped and has a lovely bar/grill area at the waters edge which is great. The location on the south side of the island is nice with the airport and grocery store just ten minutes away. We really enjoyed the patio in the evening and were lucky to see two turtles feeding in the shallows. It has two master suites and a third bedroom upstairs which is loft style. I would definitely stay there again. Excellent value.
