Charming House with Great View

We, recently, stayed at this lovely home with a magnificent view while visiting UVM. The owner is very gracious and responsive and the house had every amenity. Our dog loved the yard and although it was November, the weather was very mild, so we were able to spend a bit of time outside. Colchester is an easy ride to Burlington and the house was close to a grocery store, restaurants, etc. We are looking forward to our next stay and hopefully, many more.

Porters point is an excellent choice for Mallets Bay

We had a fun week kayaking, biking and enjoying the spectacular sunsets and lake views from this clean, modern home. Lake water was crystal clear. Great community.

Beautiful house and view

Rented this clean, well appointed house for a family fishing trip. We were very comfortable there and had all the amenities of home. The sunsets from the deck were amazing. The owner was wonderful to deal with. Only negatives were that there really isn\'t enough room on the property to maneuver vehicles with boats. Also, the water in the bay was so low that the dock was completely out of the water and therefore useless. My son was unable to utilize the moorings for his boat and had to pull it in and out of the water everyday at the marina. If you\'re planning a fishing trip, I recommend checking ahead to make sure the water level is high enough.

A great house for a getaway

We spent close to a week at this property recently, and we really enjoyed ourselves. The house is very clean and has all the basic necessities you\'ll need to enjoy a getaway. The view is spectacular -- sunsets are amazing and we enjoyed many evenings sitting on the deck watching the sky change color. We kayaked and swam as much as the weather allowed (the water was quite warm enough even in late June), and the owners are very accommodating with providing the kayaks, canoe, and bikes to make outdoor activities really easy to enjoy. The house is only 20 minutes at most from downtown Burlington, so great restaurants and shopping are also close by, but the house is isolated enough that you really feel you have gotten away when you are there. The owners are super easy to work with, and Howard, the property manager, was ready and waiting to let us in when we arrived. Our only recommendation to future renters: bring your own bath towels. Those provided are not very absorbent beach towels, thought that was a truly minor issue overall. Otherwise, we have no complaints -- the beds were comfy, already made up, and ready for our use and the kitchen is fully outfitted. We\'d strongly recommend renting this great house. We definitely want to rent it again ourselves.
