Villa Coquille offers all luxuries of St. James's Club, spectacular views of Mamora Bay from sunrise to sunset and very private and intimate feel. If you are looking to be in a very secure environment with all comforts that a holiday resort offers, but want to be in a secluded, intimate and very private beachfront location at the same time, you found your place!
 
Completely remodelled by the owners when they decided to become part-time residents of the island, they made it into a charming beach house that offers all comforts of a permanent home and easy-going, free-range, beach-style living. The artist/interior designer owner created a home which lets in cooling breezes of the ocean and promotes true indoor-outdoor living. Whether you relax on the terrace or wake up to Caribbean sun your first view will be clear blue waters, golden sand and green palms.
 
The 2 bedroom, 2 en-suite bath villa offers a king size master bedroom with large, screened windows opening to the beach and sea, and another large sized bedroom with twin beds that can be joined to create a queen size bed.
 
The spacious living area, opening to the sea views, has an open plan kitchen great for entertainment, a separate area allowing for eating indoors and a place to relax on the sofas with a book or in front of the TV, if you found that the Caribbean sun is too much for you! The villa is fully air-conditioned, has flat screen TV and private Wi-Fi available.
 
The fully equipped kitchen with modern appliances will permit you as much as cooking a gourmet dinner or as little as just making yourself a good Italian expresso when you need reinforcements after a day of sport activities.
 
The inside is furnished in light, beach house style, bright and breezy, with eclectic choice of designer furnishings to capture the beach style living and colour palette inspired by water, sun and vegetation. All around the house you will find artwork created by the owner from what she found on the beaches and in the sea in Mamora Bay. Take inspiration and create your own artwork to take home from your holidays!
 
The very large terrace features a cozy and delightful dining area with additional space for entertaining and a lounging area with extremely comfortable sun loungers. The villa's terrace has an electrically operated windscreen which provides for an even more serene and sheltered feeling.
 
Evenings, spent on a terrace watching the sunset or the sky dotted with stars, listening to a breeze in the palms, gentle breaking of the high tide waves and a sound of tree frogs, your tropical evenings companion, will chill you out even more...
 
Located right on the beach, 'pieds dans l'eau', a walk away from resort's amenities, offers the best of both words: unobstructed views of the ocean, nearly empty golden sand beach right at your doorstep with sun parasols for your use exclusively and all the buzz of the resort's restaurants, water sports centre and swimming pools just a barefoot walk away.
 
The size of the villa and its terrace, comfortable and tasteful interior as well as beachfront location may make you to spend your entire holiday relaxing in the villa surrounded by spectacular views, with breaks for a dip in the sea and a snooze in the shade. But we encourage you to do more! The resort has two fabulous, sandy beaches, cleaned every day, so you can swim in warm clear Caribbean waters to your heart's content. From one ocean front beach you can swim or kayak as far as a coral reef and snorkel there and from the other, lagoon beach, you can set off windsurfing, paddle boating or sailing.
 
Enjoy all of St. James's Club facilities which you will find more than enough during your stay: 4 seafront restaurants, a beach bar and grill, or if you do not feel like getting up from your sun lounger, grab a drink from the drink cart passing by with astonishing regularity! Try your hand in sailing, kayaking, windsurfing and paddle boating under a watchful eye of seasoned water sports crew. Take part in beach volleyball matches, morning hikes, stretch, pilates and Abs classes every day or sweat on your own terms in fully equipped, air-conditioned workout gym! Play tennis or learn to play with resort's Pro on one of 4 floodlit tennis courts. And then take yourself to the beauty spa with a delightfully long menu of treatments.
 
Outside St. James's Club things to do are aplenty! As we have been part-time residents of the island for many years we are happy to share with you all famous and hidden treasures of Antigua as well as our favourites: restaurants, night life, historic monuments, places to watch yacht racings, day-trips by car or by boat, deep-sea diving and deep sea fishing. You can schedule all that and more via a concierge at the St. James's Club or ask us for a recommendation. NOT JUST A RENTAL VILLA BUT A REAL HOME


Renting a holiday home is always a gamble – some turn out unrecognisable from their websites - and we were concerned that Villa Cocquille wouldn’t live up expectations. In fact, it exceeded them. The moment we opened the door we realised we weren’t just moving into a rental house on the beach, we were taking over Marcel and Aneta Polk’s home. There are family photos, their favourite books, art work and even an array of wine and spirits which guests are trusted to sample and then replace. And it\'s genuinely on the beach (my record was 13 seconds from getting out of bed and into the sea) and, although part of club complex with all the benefits that offers, it’s completely private. We travelled with two friends and, happily, there was no embarrassing picking of the better bedroom - both are large, comfortable with en suite shower rooms. The spacious terrace was where we ate meals, snoozed and observed the visiting cats. Aneta and Marcel also helped by patiently answering questions on security (fine), restaurants (various), mosquitos (no great problem) and where’s the best beach (any of 365). We ourselves have a holiday house we advertise on HomeAway. The best compliment I can pay Villa Cocquille is that we left realising we needed to improve ours.

Beautiful


Villa Coquille is a beautiful villa nicely furnished and quite comfortable, lovel veranda furnished with comfortable furniture for eating or just enjoying the scenery, literally steps from the beach, shower to rinse off before entering house--the list goes on. My husband, daughter and spouse and I rented for 10 days and wanted to stay on. Owner so very helpful in arranging a vacation I Was planning for our family of 11. Thank you Aneta. It was a memorable family time. St.James Club is a lovely resort, Joanne Turner representative very helpful with any questions we had during our stay.

Extraordinary Villa and Resort


I read all the other reviews, and I say \"Ditto\" to them! We had a lovely stay at Villa Coquille! We so enjoyed the beach access, and your furnishings were wonderfully cottage beach chic. Our family is so appreciative of your home. And, Antigua is such a picturesque island with so many friendly people. We felt very safe in Antigua in general, and at St James Resort in particular. Amazing vacation!

Villa Coquille Just Beautiful


I can not say enough about this beautiful villa on the beach. The Villa Coquille had every luxury and the location was just amazing!! The interior was so quaint and we felt right at home (wish it was our home!!) Aneta was wonderful from beginning to end - we had a large family group of nine (grandma was 82) and this was the perfect spot for her to be on the property. I highly recommend this property and the professionalism of Aneta Polk and her team. This was a dream vacation and everyone from the drivers, wait staff, cleaning staff, and recreational staff were the most friendly and accommodating people I ever met. Thank you Aneta for all your wonderful suggestions and for all your help and hard to work to ensure our vacation was simply beautiful.

Best villa location on property!


First I want to say what a pleasure Aneta was arranging the stay! Friendly, organized and very helpful with all the tips and outside help such as pickup at airport and rental cars. Couldn\'t ask for a more seamless transaction. The villa was very beautiful my family loved it and found it to have a very relaxing decor, the location was immediately on the best part of the beach. I can\'t say enough about the St James club as all the staff were so friendly and helpful. I had my mom with me and she does not get along so well with walking but the staff treated her like a queen and she couldn\'t be happier! they picked her up in the buggy at a moments notice and took her wherever she wanted to go. I thank the entire staff for making our stay very enjoyable and we would not hesitate to go again. Thank you Aneta you made our vacation a forever memory!

The villa is incredible! The location is great and the villa is very well kept. Aneta runs a very professional operation. She provided great advance information on the island, St. James Club, and the villa itself. She checked in over email during our visit and provided us with great restaurant recommendations. Check in went very smoothly, with Titi picking us up at the airport & Claudia at the villa to greet us when we arrived. We\'ve enjoyed the water activities at St. James club (snorkeling, diving, paddle-boarding, and kayaking). We went to Shirley Heights Sunday evening and had dinner in English Harbour at Life on the Corner.
