Terms & Conditions

$500.00 deposit required to hold unit until arrival & also serves as a security deposit during stay. Requested dates will be reserved upon receipt of deposit, at which time reservation will be confirmed via e-mail. Deposits, less any damages above normal wear and tear or excessive cleaning, will be refunded within ten days of departure. Deposits are non-refundable in the case of cancellation.

Paradise on the Beach!


We visited in February and really enjoyed the place. Cindy was easy to work with and recommendations for places to eat. The house was very neat and clean when we got there. The location is centrally located yet has lots of privacy. Great back yard with shade and easy access to the beach. Beds and furniture were comfy. Kitchen was well equipped and recently upgraded and had everything we needed, except food of course. Easy walk to places to eat and shopping. Sleeping while listening to the waves was the best part! We will be back!

What more could you want?


This was our second stay at Shady Palms and it was like coming home. Cindy and I are friends now and she is always a pleasure and super easy to deal with. Security deposit returned immediately. If you are looking for a comfortable house right on the gulf at a very reasonable price (do you know how RARE this is?) Shady Palms is the place for you. We are definitely coming back.

A perfect stay


In short: 4 adults and 3 kids fitted in nicely. House was larger than expected, very clean and well-functioning. Ample sitting-room space and nice, large kitchen, all with views of the Gulf. All amenities in place, nothing needed. House sits on a very large lot, completely undisturbed. Very nice and quiet neighborhood. Grandparents enjoyed the backyard with palms, cypresses and perfect, shady views of the Gulf. Directly on a not-crowded part of the beach, the water being not too shallow, nor right away too deep for the kids - also perfect. Walk to the tip of the island early in the morning, round trip 1½ hrs. We have tried a number of places \"up-and-down\" the Gulf coastline - some cheaper, some more expensive (everything is expensive with 7 in your party!) - and Shady Palms, in my opinion, is highly recommendable and offers good value for money. We would not hesitate to stay again, and will certainly recommend. Contact with owner very easy, friendly, humorous and swift. No problems whatsoever.
