Wonderful tour

Everyone in out bachelorette party had an amazing time staying here. The local vineyards are plentiful, but we spent most of our time in this lovely and huge cabin. It is bigger than it looks in pictures. The lake area had a grill where we made some delicious BBQ and had a great lake day. The entire area is just so beautiful and it was neat to hang out on the dock with mountain views and views of other gorgeous dock set ups. Most of all, the Taylor Family who rents the cabin was so welcoming to us and John especially made us feel right at home. They are a lovely, easy going family and made sure our stay was perfect. Thank you for a wonderful, memorable weekend! We will definitely return!

Beautiful home

Beautiful home. We had a great time. Gracious hosts. I think the pricing is fair for a house that is not exactly on the water, I just wish the description was a little more transparent about the walk to the water and the visibility of the lake. It\'s beautifully wooded, but I would not call it a \"majestic view of lake rabun.\" There is \"water front access\" but it\'s 50-75 yds down a steep hill and across a couple gravel roads and it kind of feels like it\'s not on the house\'s property, although it is all part of the same estate. Again, we had a great time and the house itself is huge and beautiful...perfect for our large family requiring multiple rooms/bathrooms. Plenty of social space (large kitchen island area, two large family rooms w/ plently of seating, patio). I would still recommend this house for the price, but maybe get some clarity on the proximity to water. The family that owns the home and property is very kind and gracious and they\'ll help you in any way they can.

Great Lake

Low Gap Mountain Retreat was fantastic and the photos do not do it justice. It is a beautifully appointed home that is very large on the inside but as another reviewer said still feels cozy. The host greeted us at the house. Showed us how everything worked and answered any questions we had. His father delivered firewood later the same evening. The host also checked in via email during the weekend. The owner of Bear Gap Outfitters is immediately down the hill and will rent boats, paddle boards, kayaks etc should you want one. Proximity to Minnehaha Falls is a hidden gem only a 1.5 mile walk from the house. Couldn\'t have asked for a better experience and looking forward to renting this terrific home again.
