The perfect mountain getaway in the Northeast Georgia Mountains only two hours from Atlanta. The cottage is set back in the mountain which provides a secluded experience with the feel of being in a tree house while only two blocks from the lake. This cottage is part of Burton Getaway’s community association with access to the community dock. During your stay you will be able to relax and dock your boat/jetski’s at the dock while enjoying the lake and picturesque views.
We had a lovely experience in the Treehouse on the Lake. The property was immaculate in every respect. Decor was great for the mountains with luxury linens in all bedrooms.
The home was well appointed (nice linens, comfortable beds, decent kitchen utensils, etc) and comfortable. The lot is very private and relaxing. The nickname \"tree house\" is very appropriate. The back deck is huge and the fireplace was wonderful. If you plan to bring a boat you may find the community dock slightly difficult. It is not a great place to dock a boat, but it possible and probably fine for most boats. Space is not an issue, but the design is a bit odd. In addition, I am not sure the community dock is a great place for kids to swim, but I may have not seen the proper swim area. Overall a great and well cared for home.
