About The Area
From Interstate 5, Take The Highway 101 Exit In Olympia (Exit 104) West Toward Aberdeen. Do Not Exit When Highway 101 Exits After A Few Miles--Instead Follow The Main Freeway Toward Aberdeen And Hoquiam. Closer To Aberdeen, The Limited Access Freeway Changes Into A Big Street, And It Becomes Highway 101 Again. Stay On 101 Through Aberdeen And Hoquiam. Continue On 101 About 4 Miles Beyond Hoquiam (About 4.5 Miles Past The First Highway 109 Turnoff) Until You See Ocean Beach Road. The Sign Will Say To Moclips. Turn Left Onto Ocean Beach Road. Go About 20 Miles Until You Come To A Four-Way Stop At Highway 109. Turn Right. In Less Than A Mile, You Will See An "Entering Moclips" Sign. After That, You Will See Ocean Crest Resort. One Tenth Of A Mile Past The Resort, Turn Left Onto Sunset Street-It Is A One Lane Road. Follow Sunset Street Through The Big S-Turn, Beside Beautiful Sunset Beach, Until The Road Turns To Gravel. On The Right After The Road Turns To Gravel Is 52 Sunset (The "Cabin"), With A Big "Welcome" Sign In Front Of The Hot Tub Enclosure. The Next Building On The Right Is 58 Sunset (The "R&R House"). When We Say We Are "Sixty Steps To The Ocean" We Refer To The Distance Between Us And The Official High Tide Line (183 Feet, Or About Sixty Paces With My Big Feet). One Of The Interesting Things About Washington State Ocean Beaches Is The Big Difference Between High Tide And Low Tide-It Can Be Twelve Feet Or More Vertically, Which Can Mean Over A Quarter Of A Mile Horizontally! So At Low Tide, We Are WAY More Than "Sixty Steps To The Ocean" As Somebody Once Pointed Out.

Perfect home!

We loved everything about this home. I wish the beach access had been a bit more pedestrian friendly, a personal preference. Really really enjoyed everything about this home. It was clean and well maintained, great views, great floor plans! Hope I can go back sometime!

The R&R House in Moclips!

This was the 1st time I\'d even stopped at Moclips, usually opting to stay in Ocean Shores. It was quieter but just as beautiful & scenic, and on the 4th of July weekend, the traffic was comparatively non-existent. This property is nicely situated, just a short path through beach groves to the beach, and nicely appointed with the essentials (cookware, eating utensils, spices, etc.), very clean and comfortable. I look forward to renting here again!

Amazing view

We had a great time. The property was clean and the view was amazing! Super close drive to the beach and had every amenity we needed. We would definitely stay at this location again.

Thanksgiving getaway

Peaceful, quiet, serene atmosphere. The home was warm and clean and very roomy. Lots of linens and towels for use, although there were only three of us, it was a wet, rainy cold time outside and very difficult to stay dry when we went outside. Being able to get away on such short notice and you being able to accommodate our needs was fantastic! This trip brought back a lot of fond childhood memories for my husband, as he used to go clam digging as a child growing up on the coast of Washington.

Great home away from home!

The rental property was clean, comfortable, and conveniently located by the beach. We really enjoyed our stay there.

Beautiful and relaxing

The property was great. There was most everything we needed in one place. The down side was the hot tub was not in our building but next door. Otherwise, the views, accommodations and most everything else was perfect.

Family Reunion

We had 24 people at the Retreats and Reunion home last week for a much anticipated family reunion. We were absolutely thrilled with this property. The beach is a walking minute away and for much of the time we were the only ones there playing bocci ball, Frisbee, golf, and searching for shells. The facilities are wonderful: large rooms, modern kitchens and bathrooms, tables and chairs for everyone, and a washer and dryer to boot. We thought that the price split among 4 families was a great value.
