One Bedroom Cottage If you’re looking for a clean & cozy lakefront vacation rental to stay in while you’re in the great state of Maine, you have found it. This quiet & peaceful cottage sits on a lake they call Pleasant Pond.

Pleasant Pond lives up to its name because it’s a pleasant lake for couples and their family to relax.

Get away from your everyday routine, come spend a week with us and you’ll understand.

Don’t let the word cottage fool you; this is a fully equipped, furnished, home away from home.

The guest cottage is approximately 800 sq ft and will sleep six with the two comfortable futons that are in the living room & a queen size bed in the rear of the cottage.

The cottage has a large roomy bathroom with a tub & shower, the kitchen is fully equipped with all the dishes, silverware, pots & pans you will need to enjoy your meals right at the cottage.

In other words all you need to enjoy your stay with us is your clothes and your food. (see amenities left)

The town of Gardiner (about 10 minutes) has a Hannaford’s Grocery where you can get your supplies.

Most of the folks that live around the lake are busy during the work week; so it is like having the lake all to yourself. The lake is a little busier during the weekends but don’t worry; it’s still very peaceful since the lake does not have much boat or jet ski activity.

We also offer the use of our canoe with every rental and we are pet friendly for those folks that just can’t stand the thought of leaving the family friend at home or boarding them.

There is a little sandy beach area right down from the cottage; which is nice for wading/ swimming with the kids or the family pet.

Pleasant Pond offers some great bass fishing as well as great photograph opportunities. You can often catch bass right from our dock plus see loons, eagles, ducks, muskrat and other forms of wildlife.

If you bring a boat; take a slow boat ride down the Cobbossee Stream to New Mills Market for a relaxing boat trip. While you’re there pick up a lobster roll, we think they are the best in the area!
